    Who cares?

It was worth buying imo. I don't mind watching a 9 round one-way beating.

The American media doesn't pay enough attention to non-American fighters, that's the reason for the low PPV revenue.

If the media paid attention to Pacman the way they rode Floyd's nuts, they would have sold the fight to the public.

I know that they are charging enough so that very few bars in Los Angeles ever show PPV's anymore. As far as I have to drive now to see them it makes more sense for me to order them at home. I spoke to the manager of a large local bar in Hollywood and he told me it wasn't cost effective to order them anymore.

The 3k fight was held in Philippines so its not HBO PPV. Even though he already fought JMM and MAB, its the Morales fight that he really got popular. Even though he is known already before Morales fight, thats when the Pac explosion started(just my opinion).

Larios fight, i believed he was a free agent at that time, contrac eneded with Gary Shaw. I believed he promoted it along with a major Philippine network.

Solis fight, remember there was still the issue on Pac signing both with Golden Boy and Top Rank.

I do agree with you that the Diaz fight should have been on regular HBO. But if JCC jr. can get a PPV event, then Pac and his promoter can do it too.

Not jumping to his defence but what do you expect? He was fighting a guy that went life & death with a guy Pac knocked out in 3...

The reason JMM, MAB, and EM are draws is because there are almost 30 million Mexican, Mexican-Americans in the US.

For Pac, there are ony 2 mill Pinoys in the US.

Marquez fighting David Diaz willl never reach 200k.. Marquez has little to do with it.. It's the history of the fight the makes it interesting not Marquez himself.. His fight with Juarez drew 1000+ crowd instead of 10000 capacity stadium.. His PPV bout with Juarez got cancelled at MGM Grand because only 500 people bought the tickets and HBO reject it and showtime got the knots.
Exactly. I could not have said it better myself.

Chavez is making only a fraction of what Pacquiao is, maybe 10-20% as much. That's why Top Rank (the promoter for both fighters) still does ok with only 70,000 buys.

Marquez had a lot to do with the rematch numbers.

I do tend to agree with this statement, no such much in Flloyd's case, but I tend to agree.
