so much talk about ppv numbers. manny fans/haters are starting to sound like floyd fans/haters.

As more and more credible fighters gun for the top dog whos vunerable (pacman) you will see more buisness talk among the fans, as it becomes almost impossible to explain why someone isnt fighting someone without playing a numbers game.

i just hate getting involved in the who draws more and who's more popular debate.

We cannot deny that Pacquiao is the cashcow! He is obviously paid more than $10M in his last 6-7 fights. Whether Pacquiao is a draw or not, it doesn't matter to him, it's already a bonus for him to earn from all those PPVs, not to the fans.

The truth is: anybody pitted against Pacquiao can receive more than what he previously earned in his last fight!

no offense but i dont see why people are think 200K is too low of a number for PPV buys for the fight.

No offense to Diaz but every dedicated/educated boxing fan knows this was basically a fight made for pacquiao to:

A) Move up in weightclass against not THEE best opponent in the division but certainly not the worse.

B) To earn another ABC title.

Thats basically what this fight was...

i didnt order the PPV or even watch a live stream because i knew the result before the opening bell...

this wasnt a highly anticipated fight in general...

no offense...props to both fighters...world class talent...but it just wasnt the fight people really wanted to see.

People wanted to see hatton v. pacquiao...or even Pacquiao v. Marquez again...

Or even pacquiao v. a top fighter in that division...like THEE lineal champion...not a simple title holder.

this does go to show (in my opinion) that one fighter cant always sell the tickets on his own.

When bars have a ppv, they pay a fee based on how many seats are in the joint. I have no idea how that is extrapolated into the ppv numbers. They sure aren't paying $50 per chair though......

Well it's only fair to post this after saying that Marquez-Barrera did less then Pacquiao-Diaz and well...it didn't

Pac-Solis did better than MAB-JMM, according to a past issue of the Ring mag.
