Miguel Cotto vs Paul "the punisher" Williams

If Miguel Cotto beats Antonio Margarito there is a good chance he will fight "the punisher" Paul Williams in a unification fight. Williams seems to be the one champion the other belt holders don't want to talk about in spite of his win over Margarito. They can't use the "boring" excuse because Williams throws record breaking number of punches and is always aggressive. A match up with Cotto would be big and exciting because of Cotto's style, power, status, and skill. Also, if Cotto wins the next fight he will be number 1 at welterweight while Mayweather is retired. So who wins this fight and what kind of fight would it be?

Especially being really skinny at 147, Cottos body shots will hurt even more and stop in a TKO victory.

He will def beat Williams, but Williams reach and jab will also cause problems. But I just see his body being too vulnerable to Cottos body shot.

If Paul Williams fights the same way he did against Margarito in the 1st 7 rounds. Williams wins a easy U.D. Williams had a reach and height advantage over Margarito. Now imagine Cotto.

              *Que Burner* lol

The height difference would be definitely benefit Williams, but I think Cotto will overwhelm him with body shots that he'll have open access to.

So Williams can take Cottos bodys shot for a full 12?

Another tough fight for both guys. I think its a matter of who can impose their will more. One part of me says Cotto bulls williams inside and breaks him down at the body. The other side says William keeps the much shorter Cotto at the end of his jab and long punches. I give a slight edge to Cotto based on experiece, but a Williams win wouldn't be surprising.

                    Cotto by clear decision.
