I think Cotto is the better fighter, with the better skills and much better resume. But if styles make fights, and cotto for whatever ungodly reason cant move out of the way of a right hand, if he cant make margarito respect his power, margarito is going to likely stop cotto, and i say this not because cotto has no chin, and not because margarito has all this great punching power, its because i am really questioning cottos ability to give it all for 12 rounds. That mosley fight made me wonder, alot of it has to do with how economical cotto got in the last 3 rounds, i mean, this is why they fight the fights, because in reality i think this might be a nightmare matchup for cotto IF margarito doesnt respect his power, because cotto wont be the bigger guy this time and hes in there with someone who isnt just going to fold under his aggression.

You are right, but the thing is, if cotto is constantly moving and punching at some point margarito will catch up to him, cottos footwork is good and he has shown that, but mosley was reaching back with that right hand and it still connected, while its true that margarito can be confused with good movement, cotto isnt exactly some defensive master, at some point hes going to get hit with some good shots and we will see if it slows him down.

cotto isn't some defensive master, but against slow-mo-margarito he will look it imho. definitely he will take some good shots from margarito but I don't think margarito has the kind of crushing power that will slow down cotto.

cotto gassed against mosley. both were throwing heavy bombs early in the fight and mosley has better stamina so cotto had to box.

cotto doesn't have to worry about this so much against margarito because margarito is slow of hand and feet.

Cotto can't stand and **** with Margarito, thats a given. If he has a plan, and I'm sure he will, it better include the jab and not just a BS jab but a hard jab to keep Margo off balance.

The way I see it now, either Cotto is going to blow Margarito out or Margarito is going to blow Cotto out. Both of these guys come to fight, it's going to be up to the guy with the superior technique to make the difference.

Cotto isn't as tough as Clottey, his shield defense is also not as good, and his whiskers are also weaker. He beats Clottey in every other category though.

Clotteys style should have taken him to an easy 12round UD against margarito then all of the sudden he just stopped doing what he was doing, he was definately winning easily and then whatever injury he sustained ****ed him, he looked comfortable, confident and looked like he was on his way to victory. Cotto isnt like that though his style is different, Cotto is better than clottey BUT Clotteys style was a great matchup against margarito.
