I think cotto made a mistake here or maybe he really thinks he has the style to beat MAg. Not true. Usually Cotto gets hurt in the early rounds. When he gets hurt (and he will) Antonio's discipline will not let him down. Cotto will get KO'd in 4. MAgarito is an excellent finisher.

I'm not sure he can either. Not because him being gassed, I think people are over exaggerating about that from the Mosley fight. Cotto simply decided in the 9th round that he had a nice lead and he could afford to box more. It wasn't anything Mosley landed. It wasn't like Shane turned up the pressure. He just started moving mid round.

I'm just not completely sold on his chin yet. If I were this wouldn't be close, it really wouldn't.

Well neither fighter is very good at fighting backwards. That's what makes it an interesting matchup. Cotto doesn't have an extremely high workrate, if you watch him he fights for like 30 seconds, then goes backwards bouncing around where he can't fight. He needs the opponent to be inactive to throw is jab. I don't think he could fight all 12 rounds, but well see.


But if you look at history, this fight will be Cotto's "coming out fight" It will be like De La Hoya-Chavez. Margarito will be Cotto's stepping stone to superstardom.

He was outboxing Mosley fighting backwards, he also did it against Paulie, and against Abdulaev. He fought backwards against Maussa, and Ndou as well.

because mosleys power didint carry from 135 to 147, at 154 his only signature KO was vargas and thats it.
