The lakers with the lineup they had should have been enough to win it all, especially dominating in the west like they did.

People still have this absurd notion that every team in the West is better than every team in the East. Obviously it's horse****, but people still think that way. The only team in the West that has proven to be consistently better than every team in the East (and West for that matter) is the Spurs.

This year, both the Pistons and the Celtics were just as good as any team in the West, that was evidenced by their records against Western Conference teams. I understand why the Lakers were a favorite to win the Finals, but anyone spazzing out saying the Lakers would blow them out of the water were dead wrong.

Same with the people who said the Pistons were dead in the water in '04. Or the Heat were goners against Dallas. The EC is only getting better too. The top 6 teams in the East now (Celtics, Pistons, 76ers, Magic, Cavaliers, Raptors) are every bit as good as the top 6 in the West.

Margarito/Cotto win this fight, I wonder if some people are going to return to this forum?

For the record I want Margarito to win because I think he's taken the long way to the top and deserves to win a huge fight like this to put himself in the elite category.

I also think that Cotto is the heavy favorite because he is the better boxer but it will be a tough fight for either guy.

I wonder if all the pro Cotto or pro Margarito guys will show their face in here and how many trash talking threads will come out?? It will be funny...

Yeah, there are going to be alot of fans who are scared to death come fight night. It hasn't hit either fighters fans as of yet, but the fight is coming. You will hear about fans throwing up in the streets, fans of both robbing people with banana's instead of guns, it is going to be crazy. Well I must say,with Bynum in the line up the Lakers will be a much better team. I'm confident they can win it all next season.They were weak in the middle against Boston

As a big Margarito fan I must say I really respect Cotto. He took a fight that not many would have .. cough.. floyd .. cough... I understand Cotto. he's like Oscar, he wants to fight the best. The fight will be great no matter the out come but I see it as Marg just over powering cotto in the latter rounds. I would'nt be so shocked if cotto won a decision by out boxing him, but I doubt that. Cotto has too much machismo and will wanna **** with tony eventually
