The lakers surrendered that 19pt lead, they didint run like they should have, phil jackson actually made some ****** desicions especially in game 4 and then they mailed it in in game 6.

Either way, the laker bench is loaded with outside shooters and a couple of good rebounders, and their starting lineup was killing teams in the west when the celtics were going 7 games against the ****ing hawks and the cavs.

Again, the lakers played the wrong strategy against the celtics by not running more and forcing more fastbreak points, instead they played a terrible halfcourt strategy that played right into the celtics strength.

I dont ever want to hear that the celtics had a ****ing better team, thats bull****.

****, I lost money on that series. But the Celtics had the better TEAM. What, that 39 point blow out in game 6 didn't convince you?

Only in terms of chemistry. I also lost money on that series. I am also a lifelong warriors fan, but im not going to sit here and say that the lakers were the inferior team talentwise, they werent, but the celtics played better together and the lakers didint play to their matchup strength (running) and decided to play into the celtics strength (halfcourt)

So, what are you talking about?
TEAM. Doc Rivers out coached Phil Jackson? Yep.
And that was from the bottom, on down.
Team chemistry? Well, what happened to the U.S. in the Oly's and worlds, in the last couple of years?
We have the best players, no doubt.

I agree. Its just on other boards, including this one, im sick of hearing laker fans tell everyone OH WELL KOBE DIDNT HAVE HELP and **** like that. The celtics as a team were better than the lakers, but other places its like im hearing these bandwagon LA fans whine and cry KOBE WAS DOING IT BY HIMSELF, you feel me?

TEAM USA's team is better than its been in the last 8 years, i cannot wait until we show the world why they need to stay in their lane, (i hope) lol.

I don't know why or how this turned into an NBA thread but you are smoking crack if you think that. There's a reason the Celtics had the best record in the league and a reason the celtics benched KILLED the Lakers bench.

Let's not be stuppid and say rediculous things, the Lakers in all honesty overachieved this year. The Celtics as soon as they got 3 future hall of famers, were the favs to win it all.

You can say that but the mass majority were picking the Lakers. It just goes to show you that Defence is highly underated. Give me a team that scraps for every loose ball & rebound over a team with a snitch for a leader that can drop 80 in any game or series.

P.S. just let it be known that I've been watching the C's since I was a year old and not one of these lost souls who jumped on the bandwagon.

For the record I want Margarito to win because I think he's taken the long way to the top and deserves to win a huge fight like this to put himself in the elite category.

I also think that Cotto is the heavy favorite because he is the better boxer but it will be a tough fight for either guy.

I wonder if all the pro Cotto or pro Margarito guys will show their face in here and how many trash talking threads will come out?? It will be funny...
cotto is more technically efficient than Margarito. Cotto wins by UD

I am proud of both fighters. They are what boxing is all about. Taking on all comers and wanting a war in the ring. Cotto needs to be carefull the early rounds but should win the fight. More tech. sound boxer and brawler. The size difference is what I'm concerned about. People question his chin.....That's how you judge a fighter. He has always come back from being in the trenches of being hurt to find a way to win. If I can define Cotto it would be "relentless!"

This is some severe revisionism, at no point was anyone picking the celtics as a favorite, or as a betting favorite after the lakers put the smash on the spurs, nuggets, and the jazz, all teams that would be competitive with the celtics in a 7 game series. Overall the lakers as i said before, never played to the celtics weakness by running and they decided to play some bull**** halfcourt offense when that is the celtics strength especially on defense.

The lakers with the lineup they had should have been enough to win it all, especially dominating in the west like they did.
