This is also true. But don't expect the fans to adore you when you promise ko's and excitement and then take a safety first approach.

        loved??!?!?!?

most time forgotten. Boxers come and go and then you dont get to hear them.

Tell me when the last time people talked about Gatti? Bobby Chacon? Camacho? G-Man and Nigel Benn?

There are many fighters but many are forgotten most of the time. just in couple of occasion the name comes out and people talk abit.

fans dont support you as much as you think. It better be loved by your family then fans. learned that from Duran.

Families will alway stay by you even if you quit in the ring but fans wont. when Duran lost to SRL nobody came to see him and people started to make fun of him. Loved?!?! They dont love you but mostly they want to feel good about themselves that someone represent them as good warrior but once you down nobody is around only the true people who love you and that is you family.

and I not good to be braindead and you have young kids and stuff alot of commitment, they could hate you for doing boxing being in that state.

Dela Hoya sells more PPV's and has made more money then any non heavy weight because he fought the best and wasnt afraid to take risks.

Lets remember you're a Floyd fan and you are subliminally trying to excuse his actions via this thread.

It's still a sport for many, first and foremost. And a well paid one at the top level, like most sports. That's because you gotta be full time and getting paid as such, and be paid for your level of performance.
