Boxing is show buisness. Without the show, there is no buisness. The majority of people who watch boxing do bso to see excitement, not the subtle little intricacies that make a fighter great. If you can get both, thats great. But most people are looking for flat out excitement when they plop down their hard earned $55 dollars. the worst part for these guys is retirement.who the hell wnts to get beat in the head until their braindead then end up broke in their 40's?but some of the uneducated posters on this board will say they were true warriors!!what a crock of **** this isn't a rocky movie/boxing is hit and dnt get hit/make the most money you can with the minimal risk.boxers can only fight at the longest until their 40's they still have to live the rest of their lives.you can't make good investments braindead.
The only thing they could do is fight and they have some speech problem as well as mental problem that could effect from getting hit in the head.
That is why in boxing try to accomplish as quickly as possible and retire young when you already have it allComment

If you're defending Floyd's choice (or ploy) to retire, the public outcry has nothing to do with him not trying to slug it out rather than him just simply fighting another fighter in his prime like all other champions in his weight class did before him.who the hell wnts to get beat in the head until their braindead then end up broke in their 40's?but some of the uneducated posters on this board will say they were true warriors!!what a crock of **** this isn't a rocky movie/boxing is hit and dnt get hit/make the most money you can with the minimal risk.boxers can only fight at the longest until their 40's they still have to live the rest of their lives.you can't make good investments braindead.
I think people wrongfully define risky fights on the basis of someone getting KO'd or literally beat up, but in actuality a risky fight (at least in Floyd's case) is fighting a guy that is up to his level of competition and can give him a hell of a fight.
I don't believe Floyd is literally scared of guys like Cotto, but I do believe he's afraid of losing his "0" .Comment

At the end of the day, that's all we really want to see (at least I do).Comment
