I've though about that before. It'd be ****ing great.
I would like to see Hopkins as an HBO commentator. Would You ?

I think Hopkins can be insightful yes, but all too often it's a very personalised view, and slightly small minded. He makes some ridiculous statements about European fighters being lesser than American fighters. He can't accept attributes of certain fighters he doesn't like much, even when it's in the ring or a fight he's seen, he's very biased. Basically yes, his ego gets in the way big time.
Not to mention the fact he's often very dis respectful, when he was in London he was very un professional with the media, and boxing pundits. Guy does not deserve a job as a respectable commentator based on those things and more. Sorry, not like I've not explained why.
Lennox is way more insightful during fights, explaining things of each fighter others couldn't spot or quite get, and also throughout the fight. He's not a massive personality I'll accept that, but hey ho. George Foremans cool. Roy was ok while he did it, but again he messed around a lot. Not to mention Mayweathers antics of late. Last thing they or anyone needs is another loose cannon and liability in Hopkins.Comment

LOL, don't you think this had something to do with Hopkins trash talking pre-fights? jeez, you don't think Lennox Lewis was an ******* before he was a commentator? It's for show, to hype fights, etc. If Hopkins were a commentator all of that would be toned down. Think about it man, you're looking too much into pre-fight trash talk.I think Hopkins can be insightful yes, but all too often it's a very personalised view, and slightly small minded. All three of those guys talked A LOT of **** in their careers and were considered *******s by a lot of people. Once the headsets go on and they are there to be professionals, that **** is gone.Lennox is way more insightful during fights, explaining things of each fighter others couldn't spot or quite get, and also throughout the fight. Dude I know ppl talk especially when they're active boxers. But Hopkins is a whole new level, sorry. He gets very political, personal, judgemental, generalistic just to mention a few. He makes some of the most controversial, and racial slurs, that can't be said quite so much of George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Roy Jones alone. Those guys could talk but their way more professional, restrained, open minded, un biased, on topic and decent than Hopkins.LOL, don't you think this had something to do with Hopkins trash talking pre-fights? jeez, you don't think Lennox Lewis was an ******* before he was a commentator? Pretty objective assessment really, disagree if you want though. Basically however I don't think you can say Hopkins would be more self controlled, concise, open minded and less of a loose cannon then any of the other guys mentioned.Comment
