I thought Tarver won all three fights, but were I to rewatch the first one I wouldn't be surprised to see that Roy actually sneaked enough rounds. My initial reaction to it though was that it was one of the biggest robberies I've ever seen. Anyway, no doubt in my mind Tarver was the better fighter in all three fights and deserved to win the first one.

As for Tarver vs Prime Roy, I don't know that he would win, but I think he'd give him trouble. He had both the style and the tactics to upset Roy and the main question would be how much Roy's additional speed would compensate for the problems he had with Tarver's game.

Tarver spent a long time calling out Jones, saying he had his number and presumably there was a reason for that, at least to a degree, he did.

I think Tarver's last fight with Woods is misleading because Woods didn't show up to fight, once he fights someone better, he'll lose. His legs are pretty old now.

i think he would beat calzaghe, as for dawson they are relatively similar, im going to bet on tarver to win.

as for hopkins, i think tarver would always struggle with his style, hopkins bullied tarver and really negated tarver`s jab, even though tarver may have been weight drained,

I think Hopkins is just clearly the better fighter out of the two. I really don't think Tarver could beat Calzaghe right now.

Well, the only way to find out is if they get inside the ring together. I would really like to see this match to be honest with you.

What do you think tarver would do to beat Calzaghe?

                    basically what i said earlier,

i think tarver should try and back calzaghe up, he is physically stronger, he was really dominant coming forward against roy.

he has a very good jab, good power in his left hand, i dont think he would need to respect calzaghe`s power, i think he could walk him down.

i think calzaghe would struggle with his reach,

add to the that im not really sure if calzaghe has fought many, if any, southpaws

i just think tarver would probably be the hardest fight out there for him

That's a good assesment, However consider..

Kessler is very strong, strong than Tarver? maybe, and he walked into Calzaghe, not respecting his power. Calzaghe prefers it when a fighter comes to him as opposed to backing up like Hopkins did.

Joes chin is good, so i doubt that Tarver would really be able to hurt him that much.

Tarver us getting older now, and his legs are weaker. I think Joe would make him work at a high rate and Tarver would tire. Then Joe would out work him over the distance to win a decision.
