Does RJ have a chance against Calzaghe?

As a RJ fan iv been thinking about this fight for a long time. im confident RJ can pull off the upset as he is stronger faster and has more stamina than hopkins, and Clz struggled against B-hop, only just snatching a decision. Gonna be a very interesting fight come September... Come on RJ!

Can RJ prove every Legend has one great fight left in them?
will Clz cement his place amongst the elite
Will RJ show to the world that he is one of the top ATG's?

Let me know what you think...

Of course he has a chance! He's Roy Jones Jnr!!!

I make Calzaghe a marginal favorite based on he's age and RJJ's recent form, but only marginal. This fight could go any way.

He definitely has a chance because of his speed and experience, he's also one of the smartest fighters I've seen so he has a chance.

Jones has a chance with his speed and accuracy, the only question is.... will he be able to maintain it for 12 rounds against a guy like Calzaghe...... i personally think not but we will have to wait and see.

RJJ is a true legend, he will come to fight not dance and hide like Hopkins. I truly believe RJJ is one of the only fighters in the world that could stop JC. However, if it goes the distance then I expect JC's workrate to get him the decision.

Realistically, no Jones does not have a chance. There is a reason he has been fighting guys like Hanshaw, Amju and Trinidad instead of the LHW big boys, and that is because he can't compete with them. Calzaghe is probably the best LHW in the world right now, so the prospect of Jones beating him is remote to say the least.

For Jones to win two things would need to happen.

                    1) Calzaghe gets old - without doubt Calzaghe was not at his best against Hopkins, so it maybe that he himself is about to fall off dramatically.

                    2) Jones improves his workrate - Roy can't do anything about his relative lack of mobility so he has to improve areas he can. His fans say that Jones low workrate in recent fights was down to gunshyness, not stamina issues, Roy needs to show that this is true. He can't beat Calzaghe with a low workrate or rely on single right hand counters, as Hopkins proved.

If both these occur then Jones may have a chance, but no way does todays Roy beat todays Calzaghe in anything but the most exceptional of circumstances.
