Gayweather wouldn't even fight top welters.

Only idiots can ever see him winning against a Leonard, Robinson, or a Hearns.

Are you guys serious? Floyd would have been a physical god back then. People just weren't made like they are today 100 years ago. Look at Jack Johnson, or go back 65 years to football and Jim Brown. Today those kinds of athletes are common, but back then...? No. Floyd would have built a ridiculously absurd record back in those days. That is a really dumb comparison. A better question is what would he have done in a... you know, good era?

Floyd would not have been great 100 years ago. Not because he wouldn't have the talent or skills, but because he could never hold up. Floyds hand problems have been well documented. 100 years ago they fought much, much, more, had smaller gloves and far less medical technology. Add these up and I find it hard for floyd to be great back then. Jmo.

I don't think rounds were unlimited, I think fights were scheduled for 45 rounds but they never went that far. In those kinds of fights, defense is more important than offense, IMO. Johnson was a great example of how defense was better for you over the long haul. I think Mayweather would have been at home during that time.
