There's no could be to it. If Mayweather had nothing to do with the numbers for the Delahoya fight then Oscar would have repeated that against Steve Forbes. I have no doubt in my mind that Pacquioa -Delahoya would not put up the same numbers that Mayweather-Delahoya did when you're talking about 2.4 million PPV orders. Pacquiao only had 250,000 in his last fight. Mayweather had 325,000 for the Baldimder fight alone and Hatton won't see another payday like he had aginst Mayweather if he fights Pacquiao.

"Bob Arum reported that the Pacquiao-David Diaz fight which made $ 12.5-M (250,000 pay-per-view hits at $ 49.95 per hit), paled in comparison to the 400,000 in the Marquez showdown. The sales reached over $20 million. Pacquiao’s 3 classic fights with Erik Morales earned a combined sales of 1 million pay-per-view hits. After HBO and Top Rank get their share, Pacquiao and Diaz will get theirs based on the contract, that is, in addition to the $ 3 million contract pay. Official records revealed an attendance of only 8,362 tickets of the seating capacity of 12,000".

The quotations above are just an example that Pacquiao isnt selling out every fight either.

Hatton was the one who wanted the fight. So you're saying Mayweather should have gone back down to 140 for Hattons benefit? That's real intelligent. BTW, Hatton had already had a fight at 147 before the Mayweather fight. So Mayweather didn't "make him" do anything and you did say Mayweather called out Hatton.

HBO and HBO PPV are two different things. Oscar has shown he can do big PPV numbers fighting ANYBODY. Floyd has shown big numbers against guys with monster following. Lets see him fight a margarito or a Williamsv and do those numbers and then you might be able to convince me.

They are two different things but if you are not a paid subscriber to HBO and you wanted to see Delahoya-Forbes you would have to pay for it. I don't think HBO broke records on that day for new subscriptions. Why wasn't it HBO PPV like it was with Mayweather since you seem to think Oscar can draw by himself? I know Delahoya is the big draw. But did he get 2.4 million buys fighting Mosley,Trinidad, or Hopkins? Hell No. When Oscar Delahoya does 2.4 million buys fighting someone other than Mayweather, then there will be some validity to the nonsense that Delahoya did that by himself. Then maybe you'll convince me.

Do me a favor Joe, don't lower yourself to boof's standards. I never said Oscar did it all himself, so quit dispensing with the lies. Fact is, Oscar has shown he can do moster number over and over again. Floyd hasn't taken a fight with somebody who doesn't have a huge following, so you don't know if he can do the big numbers with his name alone. This isn't even worth arguing about.
