Will it be more of a case of Roy Jones Jr. simply being THAT good even at this point?

    -OR -

Will it be more of a case of Joe Calzaghe simply NEVER being as good as his record?

    What do you think?
    Joe calzaghe is garbage.

I know Joe is not an all time great but he is by far from garbage. He is really good but not an all time great. If Roy beats him I think it will be a lot of Roy is very good still at his age and Calzaghe is good but not amazing. If Calzaghe wins it will help him a little but not as much as it would help jones. If Calzaghe wants to be remembered as an all time great I think he has to beat Jones, Pavlik, and 1 more young guy like Chad Dawson. Just how I feel.

Agree totally. If Roy wins, I hope the haters don't discredit him with beating an overrated fighter. Although I personally don't like Calzaghe, there is a reason we always talk about him. He's a good fighter and a champion. Either Roy has one great performance left in him, or I wanna believe he does. I can't decide what's true yet. Either way, RJJ will always be one my top 3 favorite fighters.

if calzaghe loses back to back fights to 44 and 39 year olds then i think its safe to say he's overrated.

If RJJ pulls out a win I can't imagine him being left out of the top 10 ATG's. Since Calzaghe is already getting heat for his resume and slapping it won't do much to beat RJJ but a loss would confirm what his proponents say.

That he doesn't like white fighters, if we're being honest.

Depends on who you ask. Honestly, should RJ get the win he should get props instead of Joe C gettin hated on by people sayin 'Joe wasn't **** anyway.' The 2008 version of Joe C is a quality challenge for '08 RJ, so if he wins don't rob him of his shine.

Funny, going into the Mitchell fight in 2002, some people said Joe might be past his best, and lose to the younger fighter. But he's still around, and many of those younger guys are long gone from serious competition!
Dude, if you lose to a 40 year old man I don't think saying you were past it is being a viable excuse.
