Jones has advantages in defense, speed and power although the speed isn't too far apart, Stamina favors Calzaghe and Calzaghe wins the fight based on his workrate. Jones will have his moments but won't be able to keep up. Calzaghe UD.

i picked jones speed power, and defense... although on the defense part, it could go either way...

        calzaghe stamina..

i didnt pick a winner... i see all the reasons why roy can beat calzaghe... its just a question of whether he will do it or not...

so its more like... roy CAN beat joe... but i dont know if he will... i dont even really know what roy has left... he might come in and put on one last performance for the ages, he might look 50...

Weird innit, 3-1 to Jones and yet still Calzaghe's favourite to win. Can't think of too many big fights where that's the case so much.

Thing is, Jones is faster than anyone he's faced, so to be up against someone nearly as quick isn't actually that bad for Joe. Plus his power is unlikely to phase Joe much really, so those 2 wins whilst valid, aren't massive differences, or counting for loads for him unfortunately for him.

I gave defence to Jones to make it 3-1 to him, but again that's very tight. Plus Roys overall defence is more solid, whereas Joe will adapt and move to avoid getting hit rather than relying on defensive skills like Roy as much.

Joes goes to show it's not all about ticking all the boxes. Joe is a decent all rounder that finds ways to stamp his pace, style and authority to always, win.

Speed: Jones has the slight advantage in handspeed, footspeed Calzaghe.
            Power: Jones
            Stamina: Calzaghe
Defense: Jones, he showed improved defense in the Trinidad fight, Calzaghe's defense is mainly his offense.
            Calzaghe will win the fight.

I picked Calzaghe on speed because of the quickness of foot and reflexes, something Jones no longer has - punching speed it's Jones though.

its because altho jones has more speed and power... HOW MUCH OF IT WILL HE USE... thats why its not a huge advantage, even though hes better in those areas
