So Roys resume does beat Joe's easily. It isn't quite so black and white though.

There is some validity in Roy faced more names, and that's a common theme I think. Sorry but Reid, Omar Sheika, Mario Veit, and Evans Ashire are decent, and noway near as bad as some like to make out at times. Joe did beat the best the US had in the SMW division several times. Joe's tainted a few careers with that, and the likes of those fighters, Brewer, Mitchell are looked upon too unfavourably imo.

Secondly, Joe did completely out class his opponents aswell, sometimes, more so. Even when on the back foot he's showed he can toy with an opponent and if he chose to early on, TKO or sometimes even KO them.

Also, Joe has shown and says himself, he performs often as he needs to, i.e not his best against lesser competition. But bigger fights such as Eubank, Lacy, Kessler where he's under dog he puts on unreal performances that no one expected. I know it's not great saying if that'd been the case more through his career we'd have seen these high level performances more against other higher opponents, but it's pretty reasonable to say so, he has a nact for raising his game and providing truly great performances that are often clouded by lesser ones.

It's tricky to say if Joes the toughest opponent Roys faced, there so many factors i.e the style and skills of him and others at different times in there careers for one. Joe has prooved he's on that level. 6 years ago, I'd say Joe would've have been a close fight for Johnson (pissed that fight didn't come off), Hopkins, Tarver, and Roy. The earlier I list those the more I favour them against Joe. Cal Tarver would be tight, I think he'd just edge it, I mean even if he got caught by the shot Tarver KO'd Roy with, he wouldn't have been KO'd and still be right in there.

As for Roy, I'd naturally favour him but again, I think Joe genuinely has an odd ability to really raise his game and surprise ppl. He said Lacy was on his mind for months, it was all he could think about because he was a big threat and favored to beat Joe. This mentality seems to bring out intense performances from him and I'd give him close to even odds against any of the tops guys.

and how did u come to that conclusion? it was a hayemaker on the jaw bone

Also, Calzaghe was accused on avoiding Johnson even when he wanted to come to wales to fight. I would give the Johnson that beat Jones and Tarver the first time a good shot at upsetting Calzaghe.
the only thing that hopkins took to school against calzaghe was all the hugging hes like hatton ain't he.

Are we seriously debating who is superior out of Tarver and Kessler????

I mean really, Kessler's biggest win is Anthony Mundine people, Anthony ****n Mundine!!!! His resume isn't 10% as good as Tarver's. Get the **** out of here with that ****.

Calzaghe has beaten some good fighters, but which of the fighters were in their prime and who did the younger champions beat? Who has Kessler or Lacy beaten?

I scored the fight a draw, but you could make a case for either guy winning. Hopkins made Calzaghe fight his fight for half of the fight and Calzaghe made some technical adjustments while Hopkins fadded.

You say that Tarver is not on Calzaghe level, when he has fought much better fighters than Calzaghe has. Calzaghe is more accomplished of course, but didn't fight the opposition than Tarver has.
what is who you fight got to do with your ability and skills nothing.
