Is Joe Calzaghe the best fighter Roy Jones will have fought?

    James Toney
    Bernard Hopkins (Green)
    Mike McCallum (old)
    Antonio Tarver
    Glen Johnson

I'd say it's between Calzaghe and Toney, I'd pick Calzaghe slightly over a 168 lbs Toney though.

    Yes he is!

    By far......

James Toney was nowhere near his best when fighting Roy he was having all sorts of trouble outside the ring not to mension making the weight was killing him.

Considering the circumstances in his fights with Toney, Hopkins and McCallum, I'd say yes.

Edit: I just wanted to clarify that career wise and skill wise, McCallum, Toney and Hopkins were/are on par or even better than Calzaghe but for their fights with Jones, they were either weight drained, green or old.

No he isn't. He is one of the best, but no where no the best fighter that Jones has faced. John Ruiz, Virgil Hill, Bernard Hopkins, Tarver, Johnson ect are all some very good fighters and are hall of fame worthy. Eric Harding was also a very underrated skilled southpaw that gave Jones fits, the fight was close until Harding broke his ankle and recieved the TKO loss.

Virgil Hill is know for one of the greatest light heavyweights of all time based on his longevity. John Ruiz is a 3 time heavyweight champion that has beaten some very good opponents. Tarver and Johnson are both known for fighting the best and not ducking anyone and they are very good fighters as well. Both have knockout wins over Jones and a lot of light heavyweights contenders. Eric Harding was the first to beat Tarver and the only fighter other than Hopkins to knock him down. He could have had his hands on a title belt but came around when the division was loaded with talent. Show me whats funny so i can laugh as well.

You got that **** right. Cause its sure not based on his greatness.

None of the guys you mensioned are first Ballet HOF'ers dude....Calzaghe is.

That should go a long way to explaining my point.

Yeah, I think Calzaghe is little bit better than both Hopkins and Toney. And I think these are the top 3. Ruiz was a heavyweight champion, but I have a hard time to compare him with these 3.
