Tarver has beaten far better fighters than Kessler has and is more accomplished. Hes just the better fighter overall.
We wern't talking P4P so dont change the goal posts. You made a statement saying Hopkins beat the better fighters which is BS. What you should have said was beat the bigger named fighters.

But what it comes down to is better fighters > bigger named fighters.

We have no choice but to talk pound for pound. How can we not when Hopkins never fought at super middleweight? I stated that Hopkins fought better fighters than Calzaghe has and took the bigger risks.

I'd say it's between Calzaghe and Toney, I'd pick Calzaghe slightly over a 168 lbs Toney though.
Hopkins was 43 years old whe he fought Zag let me say that again 43 years old the prime version of Hopkins would of beat Calzaghe and is/was a better fighter overall than Calzaghe ,u Calz fans make me laugh Hopkins made Joe look utter **** and dont give me that no one looks good against Hopkins Jones did not look to bad against him and that was with one hand fact is Joe woulda struggled with a defensively sound fighter like Hopkins in his prime ,and Toney would have made him look even worse

Jermain Taylor looked better against Hopkins than Calzaghe and that was in 2005

No way Hopkins and Tarver are both immensley more skilled than Joe.

We're talking about 2 light heavyweights. LOL!

Out of these 2 light heavyweights who beat the better fighter?

So one of the few 3 time heavyweight champions of all time are not hall of fame worthy? Hes not a first ballet, but he will definitely be in there for his longevity and the amount of times he won the title. He also has wins over many top 10 fighters and Evander Holyfield. You people make me laugh. You start an arguement and have no idea what you are talking about.

He was not a 3 time HW champ he was a 3 time strap holder. Only because Don King was getting him false rankings.

Ruiz was barely top 10 at HW.

Hopkins took bigger risks and fought the better pound for pound quality opponents, Calzaghe beat the better fighters that were his size. I think thats pretty fair.
