    I'm getting so bored of people criticizing great fighters, they just do it either to be unconventional or just because they don't know what they're talking about. Plus you got your facts wrong, i.e. Bruno was the WBC champion.

    Tyson was one of the best heavyweights of all time and could have been the greatest if things were different in his life. If you can't recognize that then you are the bum. All great fighters get this treatment by Internet nerds. Floyd Mayweather gets accused of ducking Cotto or facing crap opposition. Even Roy Jones gets accused of ducking Michaelczeski (Spelling?). Calzaghe we all know about the stick he gets and Tyson gets it too, and Lewis.

    So infact, has there actually ever been a good fighter in the history of Boxing? You'd think from reading some people on here that there hasn't been.

    Enough of the ****.

      He began his career like most heavyweights, fighting bums...

      His first step up was against Trevor Berbick, a bum who was never any good and claimed fame by beating Ali in his absolute worst shape, thus making him the youngest, most overrated champ of all time.

      Next he proceeded to defend his title against more crap opposition;
      He beat Michael Spinks, a predictable win against an opponent which started his career at SMW!!! Ridiculous I know...

      A while after, he beat Frank Bruno, somebody who NEVER became anything other than a hype-job, this is someone who NEVER got hold of a world title, no WBC, WBA, IBF, no WBO, no NOTHING!!!

      This is where the funny part comes in;
      He proceeds to get knocked the **** OUT by a bum called Buster Douglas!
      How lame can you get by losing to this kid.
      This fight showed Tyson's true colors, the public found out that he was nothing more than a one-dimensional brawler... Sad really that people buy into his knockouts, anybody can look good fighting bums!!!

      He then fights Bruno again to redeem himself, and predictably wins BUT almost gets knocked out in the process.

      Now Tyson finds himself facing real opposition! That's right, the Real Deal, Evander!!! Holyfield EXPOSED Tyson, he beat him in his own game which forced Tyson into making infamous history by cowardly biting his ear!!!
      Pathetic "champ". Don King sure knew how to hype his man alright...

      He later proceeds to beat Golota, which is known to choke in big fights, two cowards go at it and all of the sudden, Tyson is back on top again, the irony...

      Tyson ends his career in spectacular fashion by getting knocked the **** out by Lewis, followed by some more bums like Anorak's BF Williams and Kevin McBride, how the HELL do you lose to a softie like McBride for God's sake?!

      So there you have it people, Tyson is VERY OVERRATED and you've all been brainwashed by the American media, you should all feel dumb right now because you guys are the reason why a silly **** like Tyson is regarded a "good champ"

      You're welcome, I know truth hurts but it had to be said, hopefully you guys now understand and learn how to recognize good champs (not Tyson) from bad champs (Tyson)!!!
      I don't believe you can blame Iron Mike for fighting low quality fighters at the beginning of his career. His management team of that time were careful in who he fought to preserve his 0 to go with his fearsom image. I wouldn't call Berbick a bum more of a brut than anything else, but a decent heavy in my opinion. As for Michael Spinks, yeah he was a light-heavy but his manager was talking a great deal of smack about Tyson, so why not take a fight to bust-up his boy. A good beating was in order, not to mention Tyson's biggest payday at the time. Your wrong about Frank Bruno. He held the WBC version of the heavyweight title after defeating Oliver McCall. James Douglas in-shape and inspired destroyed Mike. Mike made the choice to train less and party more in the lead-up to this fight. If they had met in a re-match a trained and focused Tyson beats Douglas hands down provided he gets rid of that pathetic corner he had for that fight. Holyfield beats Tyson everyday of the week. Prime or no prime, whatever arguments anyone brings to the table Tyson just doesn't beat Holyfield. Tyson gave everything he had in there first fight. It may of gone the distance had Tyson pissed of that inept trainer and hanger-on Jay Bright. Can't blame Tyson for Golota's choking ability. Tyson swarmed him and Golota failed simple as that. Ending his career with stoppage losses to the likes of Williams and McBride, the guy was only fighting to try and get out of debt his love for the sport left him along with the leeches long ago. Overall Tyson's career was not overrated and is an ATG.
