Dude watch some of his fights, maybe you'll see that Pavlik breaks you down with the jab, and throws hooks to the body and chin. He also has a mean uppercut for when he gets you hurt or on the ropes I bet if you'd ask Taylor, or anyone who has been finished by him they'd agree. He fights very tall which is good, and there is no reason that he shouldn't use that jab and reach advantage over everyone. You are being ridiculous if you think using his natural size to his advantage is bad. Williams is solid, but I would say Pavlik puts him to sleep.

        Pavlik has better D.
        Pavlik has a better jab.
        Pavlik has more power(p4p).
        Pavlik is a better boxer.
        Pavlik is a better finisher.
Pavlik wins in a fight easily.

Williams just isn't better admit it to yourself. I like the Punisher was way excited when I initially discovered him, but he just isn't better then Pavlik.

I think Paul woud beat Margarito tens times out of times..thats not to knock Marg..Williams is just a bad matchup for him.

I like Cotto but I think Williams would blast him out of the ring in less then 6 rounds.....Everything Cotto does..Williams does better except for body punching....not to mention the 8 inch height advantage and the 18 inch reach advantage if they ever fought..throw in Cottos chin....and I see Williams just battering him...Marg couldnt dent Williams to the head or body and he was landing flush....Cotto wont hurt him either.

I think Calzaghe would beat Pavlik ONLY because Pavlik is slow as hell.

Umm.... no he's not. Saying that Pavlik is just a simple one two puncher shows that you dont know much about what you're talking about. To start, Pavlik is a thinking fighter who varies his attack and is very accurate with his punches. He may look slow, and he isnt the quickest guy, but his timing is excellent, and of course he's very powerful.

And saying that Williams has a better jab is comical. Williams for the most part just flicks his jab out there. Pavlik's jab is stiff as hell, and he knows WHEN to throw it, and what purposes.

Also, Williams' defense is CRAP! For all his height, and reach, he's pretty easy to find. Pavlik is no Pernell Whitaker, but he does a decent job blocking punches with his gloves, and he knows how to use his reach. Williams just basically fights off talent, he doesnt do much thinking in thier. He'd have ZERO chance of beating Pavlik! He barely scrapped by Margarito, who had him in trouble in the 11th. Picture Pavlik landing those type shots on him.... Williams would be on a stretcher.

I admire you being such a devoted fan, but please dont let it blind you. Williams is an inferior fighter to Pavlik, and to Cotto as well. He has too many defensive holes to beat either one of those guys.

One thing about Williams being faster, ask how well speed worked from Taylor, he hits harder and is way more fluid, hell he is just better then Williams in every aspect. Yet you think that Williams can win?

I'm not being biased at all, just honest. Cotto, and Pavlik both are good at blocking/parrying punches thier gloves. Williams doesnt do that. He basically just depends on his height as defense, but thats not gonna cut it vs elite fighters. Especially not against Pavlik considering that Paul wouldnt have a height edge over Kelly.

Even that bum Walter Matthyese was landing alot on Williams. Cotto would have target practice on him, and eventually the shots would take its toll. Despite what happened in the Quintana rematch, Williams isnt a huge puncher. What he has going for him is his height, workrate, and decent handspeed.

Cotto, and Pavlik have more dimensions to them than Williams does, as well as having bigger firepower.
