I would be surprised if people thought Hatton would win. Tsyzu wasnt shot in the Hatton fight, but lets face it...he wasnt prime. and yet that fight was pretty close, Hatton was only ahead by a round or two at most. and that was the best Hatton Ive ever seen.

A physically better and more accurate Tsyzu would have had outboxed Hatton, but Hatton would probebly have his moments every once in a while
Exactly, Tsyzu would have still beaten all the top fighters in the division... But it was Hattons time, and on that night he was the better man. Dont discredit ricky hattons win over tsyzu, not many fighters would have been accomplish what he did that night.

Kostya faced two fighters (one young, one old) that were not afraid of his power, and were all up on his ass never giving him the chance to throw his one trick pony right hand bombs. Relatively smart fighter, showing that against Chavez, but even if he was in his prime the pressure "Cool" Phillips, and Hatton offered him would always be the kryptonite to his style...unless he changed his whole approach if he fought Ricky again.

Tszyu had amazing timing with his punches and in his prime would have KO'd Hatton. It wouldn't be pretty leading up to that point with all the holding Hatton does but eventually he would catch him and finish the job.

actually, I didnt think the ref was bad at all. I personally dont see anything wrong with holding and hitting...as long as youre doing more hitting than holding. the illegal part of holding and hitting is the holding part, so I dont find holding and hitting more illegal than holding.

maybe the ref was biased, but I prefer refs like that to be honest. they let the fighters do their job and dont rip their hair out every time the fighters start clinching. let them fight their way out themselves...cant stand refs(like Cortez) who consistantly have heart attacks the second the fighters get close to each other. STOP! STOP! DONT PUNCH! man, just shoosh, the point of boxing is to punch you dumb worthless ref...

kostya was a very good fighter. he was not overrated.

sharmba. zab. tackie. leija. ruelas. chavez. mayweather.

even old guys are great wins. we count ricky's win over an old kostya don't we?

he fought chavez at 140 around the same time oscar fought him at 147. good enough for oscar good enough for kostya.

he beat a confident , prime , undefeated zab before floyd. good enough for floyd good enough for kostya.

and a lot of British referees tend to let this type of thing slide but not always outta biased they just have the attitude in Britain that a fight is a fight not a Boxing match so if u are getting ruffed up deal with it

Shamba zab. tackie. leija. ruelas. chavez. mayweather. , not a superfight amongst them and most were shot to **** and lightweights , he lives of the Zab fight and Zab was as green as grass , Zab to Floyd was just another payday and it was twice the Zab that KT fought , KT never wanted to fight him again .

Phillips is a journeymen and whipped him , another rematch KT did not want .

Chavez was totally shot , totally !

And he finished by quitting on his stool ,, when people talk of ATG , Kostya in that context is most defiantly over rated .
