Hatton could complain to Cortex about how he officiated. Soto could actually kill Cortez and perhaps get away with it.

The jury actually might not care. Hell, I'd let him walk.

LOL....I thought you were being serious for a minute, Cortez did well he followed the rules and from what i heard he asked the officials at ringside before making his decision so i think it was the right one.

The thing that irritates me is how Hatton fans/sympathisers don't take into consideration the amount of times Ricky benefited from imparcial refereeing.Hatton could of shot Tsu in the head with a 45. and the ref would of counted it as a knockdown.Hatton's father could of been the ref that night and it would of made no difference.Mayweather is better in every department skill wise but still they make excuses even to this day."Hatton was coming up in weight"Mayweather was using elbows"There wasn't enough padding on the turnbuckle"The temperature was not right in the arena"

Hatton gets away with more than that, I can list more than ten fights where hatton gets preferencial treatments. Even in one of his earlier fights against a guy called stephen smith(English guy based/Trained in germany) he was getting away with so much stuff that the guys dad/Trainer came into the ring and start challenging the referee(Micky Vann- Hatton's uncle/referee).

I went into the Mayweather-Hatton fight rooting for The Hitman but after Mayweathers sincerity towards Ricky at the end of the fight I was also a fan of Floyd.Every time I see Ricky in an interview he either talks about Cortez or him coming up in weight. He can't seem to grasp the fact that Floyd is head and shoulders above him and a rematch would only hurt his credibility even further.

Cortez may not have cost Hatton the Mayweather fight but he did make what seemed to be a concerted effort to remove all doubt as to the decision. And in this fight as well he seemed to be making an effort to ensure that the "right" fighter won.

Cortez may not have robbed Hatton but he did rob Mayweather of an uncontroversial victory.
