    it's possible. But not likely.
    it depends on his body.

if the added pounds add power then he is a solid chance. i wouldn't say great because ricky is strong and would bully him. but a solid chance.

if the pounds don't add power and slows him down a bit. he has no chance but make it happen anyway.

manny has tons of money to gain and nothing to lose. who can fault a former flyweight champ for losing to the lineal junior welterweight and former welter weight titlist?

on ricky's side , he has much to gain in money as well and the prestige of fighting a second #1 p4p fighter and being 1-1 against #1 p4p fighters. plus if manny doesn't carry power at 140. great money , great name win and little risk.

we'll see tonight. hopefully he carries power at 135. nice set up for the superfight.

I assume that there is no-one else who has ever won a titles at both 112 and 135? That's a pretty good record to hold (if he wins tonight).

I would probably cheer for Pacquiao if he fought Hatton. I like to see English boxers do well, but although I like Hatton's body punching, I far prefer Pacquiao as a fighter.

I don't think that he should fight at 140 though, it would probably be one weight class too far.

Nope.. It's a 112 and 135.. I think Pac is the first fighter ever to have done that

It'll be hard enough for him to win at 140, especially if he tackles someone as physically strong and imposing as Hatton. Manny is shredded and has bulked up, but he still has a narrow, fairly slender physique. You can tell from the weigh in pics on ********* that Diaz is the genuine lightweight...

I think Manny will beat Diaz, but if he hangs around at lightweight theres a lot of sharks; guys like Juan, Nate, Katsidis, Casamayor...
I don't think Pacquiao can move up to welterweight even as a contender! He is rather small for a welterweight!
