Pacquaio could be a 7 weight world champ

If he fought his way up from flyweight without skipping classes he could be a 7 weight world champ. I don't think there's anyone who's done that not SRL, Hearns, Mayweather or Jones.

A bit premature dont you think? He hasn't made his lightweight debut, and you're predicting he win a world welterweight title? Have you seen the size of the WW's, Cotto, Margarito, Clottey? They would chew him up.

It'll be hard enough for him to win at 140, especially if he tackles someone as physically strong and imposing as Hatton. Manny is shredded and has bulked up, but he still has a narrow, fairly slender physique. You can tell from the weigh in pics on ********* that Diaz is the genuine lightweight...

I think Manny will beat Diaz, but if he hangs around at lightweight theres a lot of sharks; guys like Juan, Nate, Katsidis, Casamayor...

That's not what he said He said if Manny hadn't skipped weight classes when moving up he could have been a 7 division champion

lol, read the post. I meant if he had worked his way up from Flyweight progressively without skipping classes the guy could be a 7 weight world champ if he beats Diaz.

          if pac wins tonight he'll be 5-division titilist. 112 , 122 , 126 , 130 and after tonight 135.

he's saying if pac had won a title at super flyweight (115) and bantamweight (118) he could've been 7 division champ.

he could've theoretically but the truth is he was so weight drained at flyweight that he had to skip both of those divisions and go straight to superbantam which i think is his natural weight class. though one could argue it could be 126 or even 130 considering how huge he's gotten.

i still think 122 was when he was at his best. he just didn't have much opponents there to stay and his big shot at fame with marco was at 126.

it would've been interesting to see manny against israel , raf , larios and paulie though......

he has a shot at 6-division though.

the more and more i look at diaz. the strength and size comparisons to ricky is very similar. if he ko's diaz , who has fought at 140 and 147 , his chances against ricky are not as bad as i originally thought......

True but if he had moved up JUST after he won the title and looking at the WBC's new system of ranking you highly if you own a title at the weight class below he might need to have one fight to get the title at the weight class.

And Ricky didnt take shots off Lazcano too well on a couple of ocasions and Manny is faster..

                it's possible. But not likely.

                  also true.

but i don't give to much credence to the ABC belts anymore to be honest.

pac is lineal in 3 divisions fly , feather and super feather. in this day of multiple orgs and multiple belts and junior and super weight divisions , lineal and ring means more to me.

                  nice to have belts though.

why can't we just have 7 divisions again? why lord why?

He could have but I don't think he could have made 115 or 118 without draining himself badly after he lost to Singsurat.
