Except Casamayor lives in Miami

I like Casamayor any time he is confident before a fight.
Marquez is definitely a more truer featherweight but he has been punching harder at 130. 135 is a different story where guys like Campbell, David Diaz who was a 140 pounder, Katsidis, are. Those guys are much bigger than Barrera and Pacquiao.

Casamayor has beaten guys like that, except for Diaz, and I'm not sure Marquez could do so. It'd be much like his brother Rafael moving up and not being able to handle the stronger Vasquez's punches.

As much as I like Casita... He would lose this fight IMO. Casita tends to get tired and JMM will be there all night with his A+ combinations.

Should be interesting, but no problem for JMM. JMM can survive the Pac attack then why wouldn't he withstand Casita?

JMM would win by UD 117-111.. Or a possible late TKO.

Do you really? Casamayor's rough tactics and counter punching could really give Marquez problems imo.

Casamayor is way past it, IMO. He looked good against Katsidis, but any world class fighter should look good against a club fighter like him. It's hard to say how the step up in weight will affect JMM, I just think at this point he's the superior fighter, is an amazing counter puncher himself and it's hard for me to see him losing to Casa at this stage.

this should be a good fight. both guys are older. casamayor has faded and is getting hit with punches he's never been hit with before. that said jmm has never fought at 135 before and has never faced a guy with the combination of craftiness, skills and power that casamayor has.

I think JMM will win a narrow points victory but will eat canvas at least once.
