Joel Casamayor: "I Will Retire Juan Manuel Marquez"

LOS ANGELES – Mexico celebrated its independence from Spain on the historic date of September 16, 1810 and over the years, this day has grown to become a special day of celebration, especially in the world of sports and entertainment. This year, the boxing world will celebrate Mexico’s Independence Day when reigning Ring Magazine World Lightweight Champion Joel “El Cepillo” Casamayor meets former two-division World Champion Juan Manuel Marquez Saturday, Sept. 13 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev. in a 12-round championship bout that celebrates the best of the sweet science and two of its greatest practitioners. Casamayor has flirted perilously close to danger in his last two fights, Marquez is on another planet to those guys and I predict he will win comfortably.

Should be a good fight for what it is (so some might find it horribly boring).

Very close fight and I see Marquez winning a spilt decision.

Funny how it says that those 3 losses shouldn't have been losses...

yet they don't talk about the Santa Cruz bout...hhmmm???

Close fight Casamayor not only can box but can box too. Im sure Casamayor is going to stand his ground on this one and try to bully Marquez and foul him for sure. This one will be a foul fest cause im sure Marquez will foul right back. One thing is for sure Marquez is going to test that older Casamayors body i don't think Casamayor has faced a body puncher like Marquez. Should be fair fight, just depends on which Casamayor shows up. Im seeing Marquez win by decision. And Sept. 13, is a plus its my birthday putos. So im definelty ordering this fight.

is this a joke?? casamayor couldnt even handle santa cruz and no real boxing fan even recognizes him as the lightweight champion. juan manuel will give him a boxing lesson and if he dares to go toe to toe casamayor will get knocked out.
