You shouldn't stop reading... but I agree an argument can be made for Calzaghe.

What??????????????? How can he be the greatest fighter of the decade when Mayweather won his first title in 98 and retired in 08? Pacquiao didn't jump on the scene til late 2003 and has lost and drawn since then. It never amazes me the lengths people go to to discredit Mayweather. Calling Pacquiao the fighter of the decade, good lord. Maybe I should paint myself green and call myself Cabbage Man to be more in line with the kind of trash that goes on around here.

I'm a fan of Pacman, but to be called fighter of the decade??
Dude, I dont know what this writer is talking about... did someone paid this guy to write this article?
Cmon'... lets be real here... Pac is good on what he's doing, some people disagree with his accomplishment, well you cant please everybody... but you can't argue with success...
But to write this kind of an article even if it had a question mark... doesnt fit.

He's the best fighter in the world today, leave it at that. If Mayweather comes back, Pac goes back to #2.

            this just my opinion

mayweather is a Boxer not a Fighter...Pacman is fighter of the decade because he embodies the meaning of a fighter someone who wants to win and not coast to protect an 0.

Floyd jr is the most technical all around boxer and an amazing tactician but if he fought to go for the knockout and was winning like pacman then he would be more impressive.

I keep saying this smaller guys who go up in weight can do so by being super defensive and technical...but the moment they trade blow for blow or try and be offensive they would most likely get knocked out.

I believe pacman will get knocked out to david diaz in the 1st round of this fight...pacman already moved up too many weights and is a slugger who wants to finish fights.

To me Pacman is the fighter of the decade...his saying is "I want to give the fans a good show and a good fight and make the people happy."

Floyd jr saying is "Let him step his ppv game up, what do the fans know? do they box?"

well i think decade goes by every 10 years. so '98 doesn't count this decade.

              the decade is 2000-2009.

maybe they're assuming what manny is gonna do this year and the next.

if mayweather jr comes back he should have to re earn his spot.

you just dont bump a guy down like that man lol this is whats wrong with Boxing seriously why will you give floyd jr the top spot when he comes back?

putting him back at number 1 will just feed his ego and prevent us from making him have to fight tough fighters like cotto.

You may not know this, but boxing history is not predicated on whether or not you are entertained. No fighter cares about how much enjoyment you get. Saying you want to make a fight entertaining is an excuse for not being able to win easily. See Chris Byrd against Andrew Golota and Fres Oquendo. He blamed close performances on trying to entertain fans. Give me a break.

Mayweather's goal is to be the best, not to enterain YOU.

if his goal is to be the best why is he not fighting the best?

and let it go you are a FAN not a fighter!

I like Roberto Duran and tommy hearns and hagler and leonard cause they all goal was to be the best and to fight the best win lose or draw they put there nuts and guts on the line blow for blow.

Floyd jr is not in there league he is not of there cloth.

Pacman is, cotto is, pavlik is...
