Roy has a chance, 7-8 years ago i would have bet everything i own on a Roy win but at this point i am not so sure if he still has it.

Actually, its quite a lot of both. Marciano and Joe Louis didnt exactly fight the creme de la creme.

Roy desperately needs this win, it's a chance to make up for a decade's worth of misadventures (questionable matchups, the heavyweight sojourn, the disastrous return back down) in a single fight. His legacy rests upon it. We all know the immense talent he possessed, but his record will always leave questions without this key win.

It would be an absolutely huge upset. Calzaghe is the #2 P4P fighter in the world, and Roy is nowhere near that level any longer, so for him to win would be something pretty incredible.
