If roy wins, it puts him up there with the talks of the very best ever. If he loses, He's still up there with the very best. If he wins, I hope he hangs them up. However, there will still be the haters.

Would be a pretty big upset. I don't think it happens though, but you never know.

I agree, that would put him into a very elite club right there. His first fight with Johnson was pretty ugly though, not sure I could handle a repeat.

4 months and 10 days, damn that's insane after a KO loss, what the hell was he thinking? Margarito got a lot of flack for fighting Golden Johnson after losing to Williams, but that's what I would do after a loss, beat the hell out of a tomato can. Roy didn't even take an easy fight before jumping back in with Tarver, though he at least took a year off that time.

I know Roy is a better fighter, I also think Cotto is a better fighter than Margarito. That doesn't mean Tony might not KO his a$$.

yeah thats what people dont know...... got clipped by a no look punch, then fought 4 months later... and all that after coming down from heavyweight...

people say he was exposed... get the **** outta here... the man is a HUMAN BEING... he had just taken FLUSH right hands from a 235 pound heavyweight, and now he has a glass chin?

The weight drop was huge for him... and because at 198 lbs, he was pure muscle.... in order to get to 174, u need to drain all water and muscle off your body, and then compete at the highest level... he barely made it out of the first tarver fight... and then your body is going to re adjust back up to where you were at at 195, all that water is gonna come back... then u gata do it again...

it takes a long time for a 35 year old body to re adjust back down to 175...

id rather be an in shape 39 year old, than a completely dehydrated and drained 35 yr old...

Yeah I really don't see how a 35 year old guy that all of his career used insane speed and reflexes to dominate his opponents, win titles in 4 divisions, COMPLETELY cleared out 175......... gets exposed against two guys that were inferior to a lot of guys he beat (Hopkins, Toney, Hill, etc) especially after such a dramatic weight loss.

Even Tarver looked a heck of a lot better against Woods than he did against Hopkins.
