The Spanish were only interested in fruitfull lands, not lands where naked asian pigme's lived in tree's and ate eachother. And isn't part of your culture Spanish? So technically they did walk all over your land and just like every other place they walked, they probably took everything from your lands soil and left you with what you have now...nothing lol.

Just your land is so insignificant that you were hardly paid attention to then and you hardly are now. lol If it wasn't for Manny no one would even know the Phillipines existed.

mexicans and filipinos may have a few things in common but that's about it! the only thing that connects us is the fact that both countries were colonized by the spaniards. but that's as far as the similarities go.

first of all, the ancient people's of mexico, the olmecs, toltecs, mayas, aztecs and others were much more advanced than the people's of the philippines. look at how many programs the discovery channel has produced of the ancient people's of mexico. when have you ever seen anything about the philippines and what they contributed to the world?

Filipinos and Mexicans are very different from each other. Just because we have a little bit of similarities between our languages and the spanish side of us, I will not openly admit that I am just like a mexican. We Filipinos proudly kept our traditional values and resisted to be completely dominated by the Spaniards. It's true that they were around for over 300 years in our homeland, but we also kept our language, which the "real" Mexicans failed to do.

Don't be ignorant. Theres people in Mexico who don't know spanish.

I've mentioned this before. Im from Oxnard. Come down to Oxnard go into La Colonia area and you'll hear Nahutal dialets spoken by Mexicans who look like me but dont' speak spanish.
