What's LA like? my sister worked there for a while. I didn't understand it. She was in a 5 star hotel on her first day, turned on the TV and a cop had been killed just down the street. I don't understand how you can have multimillionaire celebs on one street then 10 minutes ride down the road you're in a no go area.
I love the whole "Euro" phrase the yanks use.....

Hey, at least we beat the Packers 2x last year!the pizza , the hot dogs , the bears......... you don't need anything else.
my boss was a big packer guy. every time we played the cheeseheads the last few years i used to stand in front of his office and scream , "make it stop! make it stop! make it stop!" imitating when F4G 4 would get hit by our linemen and backers...... it was funny until last year.
i can't help but root for grossman though. he just plays with our emotions. great one game , crappy the next , okay after that and back to crappy again.
did we get a back to replace our bust 1st round pick yet? haven't heard anything.
And, yeah, Grossman takes way too much flack in this city. Ol boy makes mistakes but they're not always his fault.
We haven't signed a back yet. Although there are still some good ones out there. I would like to see them pick up Kevin Jones, but we shall see.Comment

haha, Baltimore and NYC are like that. It's hilarious fun. Keeps you on your toes, and makes you tougher. Besides, poor *************** poor people with access to drugs are pretty much gonna act the same. What's LA like? my sister worked there for a while. I didn't understand it. In the UK it's the same between middle class and working class people....but the rich areas are out in the sticks....you'd need to travel for miles and miles to go into a "no go" area if you're a multimillionaire and rightly so, you've paid out of your ass for your house why would you need to worry somebody was going to shoot you on your doorstep for your Rolex.
Why the **** do them multimillionaires in LA want to live just down the road from a DEATH ZONE is beyond me. They have like big 30ft electric gates and all sorts of ****, prisoner in your own home.Comment

I think you have some misplaced hatred for anonymous internet users claiming to be American.Several threads have been created by Anorak using his ALT account The Yank, bad mouthing European fighters.I also believe $in is another British ALT claiming to be American. In more ways then one we share a common neutral ground. We both suffer from the same corrupt governments as well as an obesity issue that seems to be ignored By fellow British posters. If American and British posters can come to an agreement I am sure this board could operate at a more respectable level. After all this is a boxing forum, but often turns into a UK vs USA flame war.PEACE"You euro fighters!"
"Euro fighting bums!"
It just sounds very odd to me, because in Europe nobody ever refers to anyone as European. I've never been in the states where somebody has asked where I'm from I've ever said "Oh I'm from Europe" eh? what?
Yet if an American had been on a trip to Spain, Italy or France....it's not "Oh I've been on a trip to France" it's "I've been on a trip to Europe".
Europe isn't a country guys, yes it's a continent the same as South America and the distinction between countries is very bold, we're not "altogether" and never ever ever collectively been regarded "as one" as you've probably been taught in geography class.
We did have 2 world wars you know....
The distinction between nationality of boxers between the likes of Kessler, Calzaghe and Abraham is very much far between in terms of language, culture etc as with the same difference between Floyd Mayweather, Cotto and Manny.
So please refrain from using "Euro Bum" because to me and a lot of others it just doesn't make sense.
"Welsh bum", "Danish bum", "French bum", "English bum" sound a lot more appropriate.
Thank you.

i don't think i could live anywhere else. except maybe australia (i love chicks with english or australian accents , loved london when i visited but not the weather)What's LA like? my sister worked there for a while. it's different. all depends on if you have money or not. as far as the violence goes you just have to know where not to go. i like that we have everything here or close by. the beaches and weather is great but say you wanna go snowboarding just drive to big bear. wanna go to vegas or tijuana just drive a few hours and you're there. you have the city life and if you want to go all nature it's also just a drive away. there's so many things to do and not do.
plus i'm a fat yank so i love to eat. you can go spend $200 at a steakhouse one night or go to el monte and grab some authentic mexican tamales at 5am in the morning after clubbing.
i've visited my ex's when they lived in arizona and northern california and the cities are nice too but it's boring as hell......Comment

Actually, LA is a very segregated city. Rich people don't live anywhere close to the bad areas but in the city you will hear of things happening just like any other city in the world.

Downtown, things tend to go down because there are so many people mixing from all around the county but it's not as bad as it seems if your not in the hood. It was much, much worse in the 80's and 90's.Comment
