I love the whole "Euro" phrase the yanks use.....

    "You euro fighters!"
    "Euro fighting bums!"

It just sounds very odd to me, because in Europe nobody ever refers to anyone as European. I've never been in the states where somebody has asked where I'm from I've ever said "Oh I'm from Europe" eh? what?

Yet if an American had been on a trip to Spain, Italy or France....it's not "Oh I've been on a trip to France" it's "I've been on a trip to Europe".

Europe isn't a country guys, yes it's a continent the same as South America and the distinction between countries is very bold, we're not "altogether" and never ever ever collectively been regarded "as one" as you've probably been taught in geography class.
We did have 2 world wars you know....

The distinction between nationality of boxers between the likes of Kessler, Calzaghe and Abraham is very much far between in terms of language, culture etc as with the same difference between Floyd Mayweather, Cotto and Manny.

So please refrain from using "Euro Bum" because to me and a lot of others it just doesn't make sense.

"Welsh bum", "Danish bum", "French bum", "English bum" sound a lot more appropriate.

    Thank you.

Oh. my. God. This is so sad. Why are you guys obsessed about being appreciated by Americans. Seriously? Stop begging for respect. Just go out and earn it, like Abraham just did.

I mean you start to see a trend from these countries so in boxing you can collectively lump them as one unit that brings up: overprotected, overrated, stay-at-home fighters that wait til the end of their careers to try to make a name for themselves off one or two wins.

                    Naz tried it
                    Hatton tried it
                    Calzaghe is doing it
                    Sturm is doing it
                    DM tried it
                    Ottke tried it
                    Erdie is trying it

occasionally you get exceptions like Lewis and Abraham but more often than not, Euros are very easy to distinguish and not because of their skin color or their accents but their resumes
