thank god!!! that woulda been rediculous.

I think that fight could be competitive... in like 3 years. If Williams starts moving up in divisions NOW.

He is far to thin and frail to compete at Middleweight right now. In a few years though, i think his chin is certainly good enough that if he could pack on muscle, he could compete up there

regardless of who u think may win... has nothing to do with the fact that paul williams would undoubtedly step in the ring with him...

and he made a point that he only faces people 3-8 inches shorter than him, when he didnt realize the very thread he posted in, is a topic about paul williams fighting someone his exact size

Williams is an oddity at 147 simple as that, any way you want to try to spin it.
An advantage that he rarely uses. Williams is not know as fighting as a tall fighter.

WTF are you talking about? Margarito has not been mentioned in this topic once, stop trying so hard bro.

Lets be honest, if Paul Williams hadn't beaten Margarito, you wouldn't be talking about cheating and unfair advantages and that sort of thing. Everyone knows why you're in this thread.

Was Tommy Hearns cheating when he fought at welterweight? He also was a very tall, lean 147 pounder. Should he be stricken from the record books for "practically cheating?"

Wrong every fighter has an advantage... you just need to know how to use it...

if it was williamss vs cotto...

williams advantage would be height... he would want to fight tall, move around and keep the jab in his face

cotto is shorter, thats HIS advantage.... stay low, and work the inside to the body...

your opponent being taller than you is only an advantage, if you let it be an advantage....

                spin it how you want.

As stated here before he started fighting at 160 which is more likely his true weight class so why do the fans need to give props to a guy who is "willing" to challenge the MW champion at his real weight? he is not going all and beyond to fight him, this is just a Goossen tactic to make it seem that Pavlik is trying to duck him, nobody is going to fall for that ****, just a bull**** excuse to try to raise his "stock".

If he wants Pavlik then move up in weight and see how good he can do at 160, I doubt he will last long in that weight anyway. And another thing how is he putting himself on the line? he wants a big payday, that's all.
Goosen tactic, but Arum probably speaks the truth. lol Who wouldn't want to see Pav-Williams??? I'm just surprised people are exlaxing him him challenging a bigger man if the report is true. so what he gets beat, i want to see it. Williams started at junior middle and fought at middle for the record.

Dude let's be honest, cut the crap OK, please? I've never been a Williams fan, prior or after he fought Margarito, I've always thought he didn't belong in this division. I don't need to explain myself to you but since you want to keep pushing the **** I gotta remind you that Williams fairly won that fight and I've said it many times before, he outboxed and outpunched Tony that night, I had the fight even at the 11th round and Williams went ahead and won the 12th. It was Tony's fault he lost, no if's or but's.

So don't try to spin my words around, this is the perfect example of a regular boxing scene poster, twisting words around to make others think you know what the **** you are talking about. You know exactly what I meant on my original post, stop hanging onto that Somali's nuts.
