a loss in basketball and football is a loooot different then a loss in Boxing, first of all.

Second of all, they were all dominant players without any threats.

Mayweather retired at his peak when there was THE greatest threat to his undefeated record around AND in his prime.

it truly is disgraceful what he did, but at the same time its honorable that he refused a 20+ million dollar check to do what made him happiest. But still, not fighting Cotto will probably haunt him when he gets older and nobody is calling him an ATG, cause he doesnt deserve it all

Athletes, the top ones compete for more than just a check or records. Its a competitive spirit that allows them to compete at there SUPER ELITE Level. They could've all set records and cashed huge checks by going on but all decided that loss of spirit/desire wouldn't allow them to compete as they once had.

We dont call Barry Sanders, Jim Brown or Michael Jordan cowards. We don't accuse them of being scared of losing so why are we doing it to PBF. He could've cashed a huge check against DLH which most feel he would've won comfortably. But like the other great athletes he chose to bow out when his spirit/desire for the sport vanished. Why are we blaming him for that?

we dont give a **** about baseball and tennis.

Part of me is glad I'll never see some bum land a lucky punch and catch an undedicated Floyd in his tracks. But I'd rather see him destroy all of the pretenders and try for a middleweight title.

Dan Rafael who respects Mayweather less than just about anybody said he is a top 20 ATG probably top 10. So that kinda negates that biased comment from you.

Just because YOU think Cotto has a chance doesn't mean anything. You told me BALDOMIR had a chance against Mayweather.

Michael Jordan was hit hard by the death of his father and retired for a couple of years to pursue a career as a baseball player. He eventually returned to play basketball and was effective until he was 40. Bad example.

Did any of them claim to be the G.O.A.T at there sport? Did any of them retire in the midst of what was going to be there biggest challenge?
