Cotto would've taken out rodriguez in 2. Even after Rodriguez was dropped twice all he did was get up smiling, clearly not being hurt. HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT COTTO DOES TO HIS OPPOSITION??? All Berto has is Speed, incredible speed.
Berto is a harder puncher than Cotto..way faster too.

I have seen what Cotto does to his opponents..and I still think he doesn't punch as hard as Berto.

I just can't see an old Shane walking through the heat Berto throws.

Mayber you're right...Cotto would have stopped Rodriquez in 2...and I'll bet Andre does the same to Alpnonso Gomez.

Berto is one of those guy you just cannot let hit you with anything.

Sure his defense is ****..but so is Tony's and Cotto's..

I like Berto but saying he has all he skills of Mayweather is not funny ,its ******ed.

I think he`s good but he has a more improving to do.I doubt he beats Margarito,Cotto or williams (Not now at least)but i think he gives them a good fight. But give him some time to improve and he might be able to beat them.

He should fight Quintana next ,that`ll be a good test for him.He beats Quintana in my opinion.

I don`t see why all the hate,he`s young and has the potential to improve.

Berto is wayyyyy overrated. If he fought a guy like even a guy like Quintana or Cintron he'd get his ass handed to him. His defense is awful, and his discpline is really bad. He chin is supsect, and he keeps his hands too low. First time he steps up and fights a legit top welterweight he's gonna lose. He really needs to learn how to box with discpline and keep his hands up.

I agree ,Berto does hit harder then Cotto and is faster.

Cotto`s power is way Overated at 147.(11 rounds to stop Zab Judah)

He hit fighters in their back also which is Illegal.Cotto beats Berto now in my opinion but give Berto time to improve and he might be able to beat him.

But Quintana is not a puncher or a defensive wizard. He lacks the pop to get respect from Berto. And Berto has the handspeed and skills to catch Quintana
            enough times to ko him.

Cintron on the other hand is a toss up.

Berto has never faced a guy with a really good punch. He's a little bit open to the body when he's in his defensive stance, and when he throws he leaves chin open. Cotto would demolish him by jabbing and wearing down his body. FIght wouldn't last long. I wonder what Berto would do if he was backed up and jabbed, and then worked to the body. He would be overwhelmed imo. I don't think Berto is near the talent people think he is.

Quintana can move and counterpunch very well. He is a very good boxer, and berto would be confused as hell with all the movement. His right shoots out fast, but he lacks dicipline with it. He throws it when nothings there, and he's a little slow bringing it back. Quintana would pop the **** out of him with the straight counter. Also, Berto's chin is very suspect. I think most top welterweights can get his attention.

Berto is obviously talented. He also has a lethal combination of speed and power. However, he needs to me a little more aggressive in the ring and work on his defense. But I am excited about seeing him in the ring with some of the other big names in his division.

He’s not Mayweather, but then again he doesn’t need to be. He just needs to worry about being Berto.

                    Agreed.

Not only can Berto punch..he doesn't need a lot of room to generate KO power..with either hand.

The big names at 147 are THERE TO BE HIT.

I agree,Cotto would beat Berto and Berto defense needs work. But i don`t think it would be easy for Cotto.Berto has fast hands and Cotto defense is not super spectacular.Berto in my opinion has fast enough hands and skills to catch Cotto and keep Cotto honest.

Cotto is not a one punch K.O artist so he would have to wear Berto down
but in between the fight i think Berto hand speed and underrated offensive skills would catch Cotto a lot.
