I think there's a style similarity between Khan and a young Tommy the Hitman Hearns

chill out, im just trying to be objective. nationality has nothing to do with it, there are plenty of domestic fighters like paul appleby and john fewkes who shouldnt be over looked just because they arent as marketable.Comment

Thank you for getting my point across, Paez was there for the taking after fighting for years before they put oscar there with him, I still dont understand what attention khan gets that bothers you. He won an olympic medal at 16/17 years old( the only brit at the olympics in boxing) so? you dont want him to get his due?Comment

I understand your point but he did something good for the media to fall for him, What did appleby or fewkes did?Comment

amatuer boxing is very different and being good at one doesnt not equate to the other. personally what i would like is for his 0 and marketability not to be over protected. i think it would be better for his development if he did actually lose as then maybe he wouldnt be so in love with his attacking skills and concentrate on improving his defense. building him up his undefeated record before throwing him in with a top opponent and watching him fall apart is not what i want to see, if thats what you lot are after then so be it. the way hes been presented so far has made that fairly inevitable, but it didnt have to be that way.Thank you for getting my point across, Paez was there for the taking after fighting for years before they put oscar there with him, I still dont understand what attention khan gets that bothers you. Amir Khan is a very talented fighter, but he does seem to have a questionable chin.
I don't see anything wrong with his accuracy or technique, and his level of opposition in his first 18 fights has been very good.Last edited by The Hammer; 06-21-2008, 07:53 PM.Comment
