LOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL what people are that mate? please show me the poster, I know a few people who picked Gomez OUT of pity but the only people hyping Gomez up were the Cotto fans who were trying to justify why gomez was in the ring with miguel in the first place.

Gatti had a good chin, but he was dropped, hurt and stopped several times in his career. He faced some damned good fighters though. I still recall him being badly hurt by Gabe Ruelas and Wilson Rodriguez earlier in his career. Those were signature Gatti fights.

Gatti was very similar to Cotto in that regard. Neither man has an iron chin, but both have a ton of heart and recuperate well after being concussed.

As for the thread topic, yeah Cotto beat the hell out of Gomez. That was as one-sided as any other fight I've seen. Cotto landed something like 60% of his power punches....sickening. Lampley actually had a pretty good quote about that.
