Biggest mistake in Boxing history was RS waving off the fight with 5 secs to go to allow Chavez to steal THE most contraversial bout in boxing history. At least my history and I'm only 29.

He was a tough mfer for sure. The height and reach advantage was just ridiculous in that fight.
agreed. i don't know about the injury thing though. everytime a fighter losses it always seems they had in "injury" that hampered them.

i don't know how much more stamina would've helped either considering lennox was at his physical and technical prime and as you say the height and reach discrepancy was enormous.

but...... i have no doubt that at 220 lbs. tua would've been able to pressure a lot better and with lennox's average chin you never know what could happen. i consider prime tua a level up on rahman or mccall and they got lucky against lennox. unfortunately lennox didn't dare take tua lightly as he did mccall , rahman and later vitali.

Tua said he was hurt by a hard right, not an injury. He manned up and said that. He didn't claim injury... for what it's worth.

yeah that fight was amazing. when i saw that fight , the whole time i was like damn meldrick is schooling julio.

......then later you look at meldricks face in between rounds and i was like how the hell did he get so beat up? julio had devastating power. not one punch ko power but brutal , hurting , damaging power ala duran and now cotto.

For me it's gotta be the Trinidad-Hopkins fight.

I loved Felix and think he is one of the greatest fighters. To see Bernard outbox him and rough him up was pretty sad for me especially considering I never liked Bernard. Tito has never been the same since then , partially due to retiring one fight later and dulling his skills , and elevated Bernard to the point of being very overrated imo.
yeah the tito-hopkins fight was the most painfull. the roy and tito was kinda tough too.
