What does me having to fight either one have to do with anything? Lets stay on topic here and not detract from it.

This is a discussion on whether or not its ok to call boxers "coward". I've stated my reasons why I believe so and you can't refute it other than to ask for a scenario that would never happen?

Try and refute my points instead of bringing up illogical meetings.

This isn't a pros vs joes comparison, its about whether some people feel its within their rights to call the pros cowards for their actions or lack of when it comes to certain fighters. All I've said is that it isn't necessary to have had in ring experience to say you've been in a fight. I understand most people here are fans of the sport and put boxers on pedestals, but that doesn't mean they have more bravery or courage than the average joe. Do I think boxers are cowards? No, but there are some who act cowardly in certain instances and will be called on it. These cats don't pay my bills, I help pay theirs. With that said, I have the right to critique any fighter I've paid to see if they aren't performing up to my dollar standards.

I don't see why. I haven't said anything remotely acting as a tough guy. I've simply stated my opinion and have given reasons why. You've had an opportunity to refute it and this is the best you can come up with?

An amateur fighter is trained to hit you too, but I don't see what difference being a pro makes.

You calling me a coward over the internet, how ironic.
What makes you think a boxer is going to fight you under boxing rules in the street?

Bottom line is this, get in there and fight a guy who has had time to prepare to fight you, who has been training to kick your ass for 20 years in a specialized facility, obsessing over throwing every kind of imaginable combination at speeds to quick you can't see the punches coming with the force of an anvil behind them.

If you can do that, then you have the right to call a guy who puts in an honest's work every time he fights, trying to overcome his own personal shortcomings as a pugilist with his cunning and abilities, a coward.

If you're fighting for nothing, then what are you fighting for?

There is a reason they are called professionals, they are trained and certified to do what they do. Thats the opposite of street-fighting, where anyone with access to a parking lot can do.

The underlined...I couldn't have said it better myself. lol
They are called professionals because they get paid. Me and my "buddies" have fought eachother for fun, fought people we didn't know simply because we didn't get along with, for free, with no gloves.

You just can't explain your reasoning other than that they are called professionals.

The underlined, you couldn't have said it better yourself because you don't have those types of capabilities.

Thats right, you wouldn't. Because you haven't been an amateur or a professional.

Yeah, because legally you can call a fighter a coward. You haven't said anything to refute anyway. You got a mouth. Look, Pavlik is a coward. Floyd is a coward. All BOXERS are cowards. Who can't do that? Why do you have a couple of posters arguing with you then? Because they know.

Again, thats not what this thread is about.

Try staying on topic and coming with a reasonable argument as to why I'm wrong other than saying a pro boxer can kick someones ass who doesn't train.

Again, "what is wrong with calling certain fighters cowards".

You're not saying anything regarding that, rather, you're trying to pit me against a trained professional because you don't have much to say in response to the opinion I've stated.

When you fought your buddies lol...you were able to rest, and you were able to stop when you wanted, and you had no boxing skill. In boxing, you can't do that. And trust me, i've experienced those capabilities.
