I don't see how that works.

There are guys in the streets who fight more times per year than any world champion which is 2 to 3 times at the most. I take it you've never been to a bar where people go just to start ****, for fun and for free.
The amount of preparedness makes opponents much more dangerous than some guy who just tied on a few at the local pub and then pissed off because the bar closes at 1AM on Tuesdays, goes out and fights someone in a 7/11 parking lot.

I'd say a scene with no gloves, no refs, no judges and no rules is much more dangerous than a controlled environment such as a boxing ring.

But thats just me, I've actually been to bars and rowdy clubs. When a guy talks **** and punks out, guess what?

He's called a coward in this case, but in reality, a ****ing *****.

How is someone that fights for money, with a ref and judges more brave or courageous than what I've described above?

Any person who claims to be able to do this or that to particular fighters and doesn't live up to it, is a **** talking coward.

Getting paid doesn't make them any better than anyone else because there are guys on the street who talk **** and fight for free.
Man you sound ******. A professional fighter is trained to hit you were you are not used to being hit. If you were across the ring from a fighter your weight, and you started talking **** to him before the fight, you won't ever talk **** about another fighter again. I can guarantee you that coward. We aint talking street fights because they aren't fair. In the ring you would have to fight under rules, and it only takes one shot to kill you.

lol, It might take the guy on the street a while to take you out. In boxing, one shot...one shot and you are gone.

So if you or your friends had to fight Floyd Mayweather or Roy Jones, it wouldn't be no big deal? Fighting your buddies in a parking lot isn't going to going to prepare you for that at all. Nowhere near the level of danger as fighting guys like that.

Exactly junior. There are rules in a ring. Streetfights have no rules and you have no idea who your opponent is, or what hes capable of accomplishing. Just because a streetfight happens doesn't mean the combatants aren't skilled in some type of fighting.

An amateur fighter is trained to hit you too, but I don't see what difference being a pro makes.

You calling me a coward over the internet, how ironic.

Streets or the ring, a fight is a fight except the fight in the street is much riskier.

Any person who is willing to talk loads of **** about potential opponents, and not live up to his **** talking is a coward plain and simple, professional or not.

Its about being a man of your word whether you get paid or not.

We're all fans of the sport here, most of us anyways, but because they chose their profession doesn't make them any more brave or courageous than someone fighting in the streets for free.
I nominate this post and poster as "fake tough guy" of the year award.

Im just saying, you might get hyped about seeing some guy on youtube throw some amateur haymaker and knock some chump out who hadn't been hit since he was 11. You aren't going to do that against Roy Jones or Mayweather. If you try something like that, thats your ass right there.

                    Two different kinds of things.

How many of your buddies are preparing to put in the work to fight you? Trust, it's not the same thing, getting in the ring and fighting with heavy, weighted gloves fighting against your own stamina and pain threshold against skilled guys who are trained to maim you with their fists.
There is a reason they are called professionals, they are trained and certified to do what they do. Thats the opposite of street-fighting, where anyone with access to a parking lot can do.
