I hope roy has a ****ing heart attack or some physical problems, ******* is giving joe so many excuses to avoid Pavlik. And I've had it to here with Calzaghe, I hate being a fan of him thinking he was so great for him to end his career like this. If I was in his shoes, I wouldn't be such a *****. I'd fight Pavlik for 1 dollar for the legacy if I truly felt like I could beat him. Obviously joe doesn't feel confident in that fight. I feel like maybe most of us fans of Calzaghe overrated him, because he wanted that fight until lockett got destroyed... And lockett was never that great but something obviously shook joe the wrong way

Where the **** is roy getting the money from? Hbo and Showtime don't support Roy anymore, so where does he get this magical money of his to be offering more then Kelly Pavlik? Kelly Pavlik has hbo to back him up, Roy doesn't get along with hbo and showtime anymore.
And don't say his name because that makes no sense, he has no money to be offering such a big fight. He needs hbo and or showtime to put money up for it and the last time I check neither of those two companies wanted anything to do with royComment

The money issue is a smokescreen , Joe is doing the right thing for himself and saving face , its about Risk versus Reward and Joe is taking the easier fight with a little more money reward , lots of fighters do it , I would love to see him fight Pavlik but Joe and his team cant come out and say its a risky fight he has to save face so will emphasize the money , saying Pavlik dont want it is bull**** he said the same about Kessler and Kessler dogged him for 2 yrs while Joe was choosing Manfredos and Bikas instead of Kessler to the point in the end he was forced to fight Kessler by public demand really , by the same token great win I thought , his career best in my view .
I really think if all cards were on the table the money difference between the two fights would not be all that much at all , especially to an already multi millionaire , Joe is looking after his own best interests and who can blame him he is close to retirement he aint taking no big risks to loose lol , people already know the cracks in Joes resume adding this version of Jones wont change it .Comment

Damn good post Rod, have to say it dude. I think Pavliks style is taylored for a predictable Calzaghe UD in a Kessler esk match though, so Roy at least offers something different, and can challenge him boxing skills, adaptability and tactics wise. People need to stop reacting like Calzaghe shot someone over this lol, it's ridiculous. He's not chosen the easiest fight going contrary to some people views (Froch is one that'd be easier and be a fair earner, low costs too). Also other fighters have done far far worse and not had such hating.Comment

Roy jones is very well known over here in England, if the fight ended up in England Calzaghe would make £7-£8 million easy (14-16 million dollars) maybe even more, the gate alone would be huge would most likely be wembley not cardiff (100,000 capacity), and it would do good on pay-per-view in the UK, and probably pretty good in the US also if they did it at 2:00 am like kessler.Comment
