Ive heard there was an offer made but it fell way short of the expected numbers a fight with Roy would draw.

Why be so shocked if he turned down that much? That 0 means more to him then one of the biggest fights in boxing ever. Calzaghe vs Pavlik would be the biggest boxing fight ever, and joe wants no part of it because he doesn't want the 0 to go. In history books it will look like Calzaghe ducked Pavlik for a shot fighter in roy jones jr. If he takes that fight with roy, and roy does pull an upset off. Calzaghe will look like crap getting beat by a shot fighter. Smarter move is to give his fans what they want and thats a fight with pavlik. When did boxers basically say **** you to the fans? Is that when Calzaghe fears for his own 0? We basically pay there bills watching them fight, they should atleast fight the fighters we want them too and we know majority wise people want him to fight a prime Pavlik not a shot Jones Jr

So in other words, no source? I don't like Joe ducking Kelly anymore than you, but if there was an actual offer made, I'd like to know what it was, and not have speculation and rumors flying around.

Ask Kelly Pavliks camp what they offered Joe, I'm sure they'll tell you what they did and how much Joe turned down to go fight a shot version of Roy Jones Jr.
