I'll break it down for you. None of the welters has done anything. Floyd won the undisputed welter title. Cotto fought for a vacant title. Margs had the wbo title. Cintron fought for a vacant title, and so did williams. When these guys get close to doing anything at weltyer, i'll let you know. You guys act as if these guys have done so much more than floyd at welter, and none of them have done anything. That is my point.

Floyd has said he heard the offer made only public, and this is around a time when floyd contract is only a bit nore than what Arum offered. I think his contract was 12 mil from hbo. Floyd was a fighter moving up in weight. His natural weight class was 130. So his resume at either JW or WW weight will not be as good or better than other boxers who started AT jw or WW if those fighters have had full carers at those weights.

There's a difference between being afraid of someone literally and being afraid to fight someone that could possibly snatch your "0" when that is what you use as the anchor of your career.

Floyd doesn't fear Cotto or Margarito, but I think its safe to say at this point in his career that his team have chosen the right fights for him to look good in (as most managers do). But there comes a point where you're eventually going to have to fight the very best fighters in your division (especially someone who is undefeated and regarded the #2 Welterweight next to Floyd).

Floyd is a great fighter and no one in their right mind should ever question that,
but i think his fans make him bigger than life itself when in actuality he still hasn't had his defining fight as Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, etc did in their time.
