well...lets put it this way.

most people think that Margarito and Cotto would both have beaten De La Hoya at this point in De La Hoya's career, especailly considering how marked up he got against Forbes. no offense to Forbes, hes a good fighter...but I think basically everyone would say that Cotto and Margarito are much more dangerous fighters than him. yet De La Hoya put up a pretty decent fight against Mayweather, a fair score would be 116-112.

I figure thats the way some people think. or at least thats one of the reasons

dlh is a year or 2 younger, and a weight class higher when he fought floyd.

I'll break it down for you. None of the welters has done anything. Floyd won the undisputed welter title. Cotto fought for a vacant title. Margs had the wbo title. Cintron fought for a vacant title, and so did williams. When these guys get close to doing anything at weltyer, i'll let you know. You guys act as if these guys have done so much more than floyd at welter, and none of them have done anything. That is my point.

he won the undisputed title against whom? cmon I am trying to coax actual knowledge out of you rather the same ole song and dance about how Floyd is the truth, makes it rain, lifesytle whatever etc.

and I dont act in any form so do not lump me in with anyone. You make these claims and yet to say anything of note just a bunch of hot air so tell me how his win over Judah or Baldomir clearly outshines the work say Cotto has done.

you said it yourself that they haven't done anything to deserve a shot at Floyd correct? so if thats the case then you must explain why Floyd's campaign at 147 is CLEARLY above Cotto's. Even if it comes close to Floyd's campaign and yet fails you fail because YOU put Floyd in a class way too high considering the level of talent he has faced in comparison to what Cotto has done at 147.

so explain to me Floyd's 147 run and how its head and shoulders above Cotto.

Arum never even asked floyd if you remember. Floyd has said he never heard of the offer until it wa made public by Arum so you just ut your foot in your mouth. What are these, recycled manufactured answers from previous threads?...get real...How could Arum pay 8 mil to floyd to fight a fighter nobody knew when floyd didn't make 8 mil for gatti or judah? And those 2 were more popular than margs.

Floyd wanted nothing to do with Arum. Nothing. Can you understand this? It is why he bought out his contract. Floyd fought Baldy for the undisputed welterweight title. He was going to fight judah, but judah lost TO baldy. When baldy was stripped, cintron and cotto fought for vacant titles. Baldy kept the wbc title which floyd has now. Kapish.

you could have a poll about it and if turns out even then doesn't that pretty much say that they both are on par with their 147 campaigns and should fight each other to see who is the best?

to me, Floyd fans seem to just want to ANNOIT Floyd the best whereas fans of the sport want to see their champions EARN their way

understood my man but at the same time while your title says what have Cotto and Margarito done to scare Floyd or that Floyd is a coward (which is bull**** Floyd isnt afraid to fight) you do go into how their resumes suck correct?

This is why I went that route because you seem to question their deservance by bring into account their resume when in reality Floyd's resume at 147 could also be questioned.

so if you are simply saying Floyd isnt scared I agree with you. However when you bring into question the resume of Cotto and how it supposedly is devoid of quality the same could also be said of Mayweather's in the two divisions Cotto has fought at 140 and 147
