    Hmm. What about a scenario where he knows neither he nor his money fighter have any intention of taking the fight right away, but he knows he might like to make the matchup a little way down the line?

    Which is basically the scenario we are looking at here.

      He's still taking the fight. If Joe signed on to this fight, the fight would happen. Whether or not it's what Kelly wants or if it's truly good for Kelly... if Joe signs on... the fight happens.
