Kelly never had intentions on fighting Calzaghe!

As i said after watching the post fight press conference to Lockett, when Rubio came out to get photos with Kelly which would be used in the promotional methods for there fight. Pavlik and his team never had any intention on fighting Calzaghe.

And for everyone to jump on Calzaghe and put him down like they have is wrong.

    1. Kelly will fight Rubio. More cash less of a threat.
    2. While he told everyone he wants to move up to SMW. Realistically hes not going to. Hes the king of a very weak division. And SMW will bring a lot of threats and he won't be the best fighter in that division.

Until we get the full facts lets not comment. But im adament that Pavlik didn't want this fight with Calzaghe.

160 isn't that weak. It just suffers from pretty much no big names.

Slyvester, Strum, Abraham, Winky, Griffin, Mayorga, etc are all better then ****ing Rubio though.

      Agree.

I just can't see why Rubio would want pictures taken with Kelly after his fight. The only logical conclusion is that there going to fight and it was already set in stone.

      September 27th vs Rubio.

All the other talk from Arum is hype to pass the blame of fighting weaker opponents onto others.

Ult again proving he is the one man anti-Pavlik hype machine. Cong**** on your success in reaching new heights of ******ity. The man who spends all his time telling Pavlik who he should fight, then watching his own favorite fighter, fight Shannon Taylor. I heard that fight might even be a PPV in Oz? If that's true you need to worry more about your own fighters ripping people off, and less about Pavlik.

In regards to Pavlik, I believe Arum did have something signed with Rubio. But Pavlik hadn't signed anything, only Rubio. The reason being is Bob was trying to put together a fight with Joe C, and wanted the Rubio fight as a back up. And everyone, Arum, Pavlik, and Warren all were set to make the fight happen. ALL that had to happen was Calzaghe's blessing and we all know what happened. Or maybe you don't Ult, which is why i see these sad attempts by you every night to smear Pavlik. JOE CALZAGHE BITCHED OUT. HE SAID "PAVLIK DOESN"T WANT TO FIGHT ME RIGHT NOW." WHICH IS BULL****. It couldn't be more clear what happened, Joe wanted an easier bigger payday. Which is fine, I get it, he wants the name recognition of Roy, whatever. But let's not point fingers at Kelly like it's his fault, because you're just flat out wrong, as usual. I'm not even sure why I bother anymore, no one on this forum takes you seriously anymore.

I really ain't happy that Pavlik is fighting Rubio, what a waste of a fight, I would prefer to see him fight Mundine by a mile lol, i was hoping he would be facing someone like sturm to win another belt and then go on to face abraham to unify all the major titles. After that have a fight against Wright and so on.

On a side note. I find it pretty sad when your highlights of Mundine are him knocking out a guy who couldn't even make it to the Contender final, let alone win it, and him taunting a guy in Kessler who manhandled him for 36 minutes. And you're worried about Kelly Pavlik...

I'm with ya man. I wish he wouldn't fight Rubio. Kelly hasn't signed anything yet so let's hope someone else comes along. But Arum tried to get Joe, and then Mayorga, but both have their own agendas, for better or worse. He can't get an Abraham fight, apparently they're speaking about Hopkins, although I personally have seen enough Hopkins for one life time. Let's hope it's not Rubio, but again, Arum tried to get bigger names, they just didn't bite. Hopefully we can see Kelly knock out Abraham in December

i'm a Hopkins fan and i don't want to see him fight Hopkins, It wouldn't be good for his repuation as Hopkins makes people look bad win or lose and he would get critized for fighting a 43 year old man. A fight with Wright can happen and i don't see why it hasn't been signed yet. He's a big name and a win would be great for Pavlik. I would like him to unify the division before moving up to 168.

I think its quite unlikely that Kelly Pavlik and is people genuinely wanted the Joe fight, especially as Kelly's next one. With guys like Winky Wright and Abraham out there Kelly will have the chance to get good paydays and build his name against fighters that he is much more likely to beat, and without leaving his weight class. It doesn't hurt Kelly to have his name associated with Calzaghe at all, but a fight with him would be a huge risk and put what has the potential to be a good undefeated run in jeopardy. Losses affect fighters mentally and in the eyes of the public, and the risk of losing to Joe Calzaghe does not look like one worth taking for Kelly to me.

Take a good look at yourself. I read the first sentence of your post and that was enough.

I tell it like it is. And Pavlik got pictures with Rubio at his Lockett post fight press conference. It was unprofessional and poor management, and signalled to me as i do have a brain, that the fight was already set in stone.

Im not anti pavlik. i tell the truth. Your 202 posts have had your lips on Pavliks balls!
