Even the WBC doesn't believe his retirement.

          I don't know why, I write in like I do......I don't know why, I just do......

I don't know why this little piece of "un-news" was considered important enough to warrant an article about it. And.....by the same token, I don't know why I bother writing in about it. All round, it's nothing.

Maybe because a sanctioning body refuses to strip a fighter who never made a defense of the title against a single ranked welterweight under the WBC. Even after announcing his retirement, they still refuse to strip him.

The WBC has a history of doing this for their champions for years. The fact that champions are stripped of any titles is the problem. Besides Margs being the WBO champ at one point, and now the IBF champ, Cotto or Margs should'nt even be champs at 147. They fought for vacant titles.

Money!!!!!!!!!! I'm hoping like I said in previous posts that PBF steps on Oscar's toes and cuts in 2 take the cotto/margie winner! What a blow 2 Oscar! 2/3 split even after he lost? This guy needs a reality check!

This is it exactly. If Mayweather really is retired then he shouldn’t care anyway.
