    That's true, good point.

Here's reasons why I say they wouldn't fight Mayweather over Oscar. Cotto has already gone on record stating that he doesn't need Mayweather. As far as Margarito, I'm not so sure he would fight Mayweather either considering the fact that Mayweather kept him waiting so long for a shot. You also have to consider the fact that this is probably the last and only shot either fighter is going to get at the golden goose. To be honest I would give the winner of Cotto/Margarito a better shot at beating and looking good against DeLaHoya than Mayweather. Even though I would love to be the first to defeat Mayweather, If it was me I wouldn't let an opportunity to face DeLaHoya slip by.

The WBC should make the title vacant anyway, but Hatton was the #1 contender according to the "awesome" WBC. The previous ratings that you can download only go to June 2007, but I'm pretty sure that the WBC ranked Hatton #1.

They could easily charge DLH-Mayweather some WBC medal too.

How could the WBO rank a dead person in their rankings . They still did it.
I sent them an email to verify. Hatton was NOT ranked by the WBC as the mandatory challenger to Mayweather at 147 when they fought, and that comes from the WBC. They are not even sure if Hatton was even ranked at 147 pounds. They are sure he was ranked at 140.

                Mayweather Remains Champ

Don Jose is no fool! He's hoping Mayweather's retirement isn't permanent because that means more dinero for the WBC and as a result El Presidente Don Jose! Many of these Mayweather haters say Floyd's greedy but imo they all are greedy! Don Jose, Bob Arum, Oscar De La Hoya and all the other sanctioning bodies! So don't hate the player hate the game, and the game is called "CAPITALISM"!

                  who cares

Does anybody care if he keeps some sanctioning body belt or not. Retired or not he's the best fighter alive and if he knows it. If he comes back to fight Oscar Delahoya again he's whippin that ass again. Simple as that.
