This sounds like pure hating. Cotto, hasn't only beaten all the guys you mentioned, he's dominated most. Mosley fight showed he has boxing skills and after rewatching, he clearly won. Torres, you say he took the fight on short notice, well yeah, that works both ways. Cotto had no idea who Torres was and never trained for him. You think Torres never trained either? Of course he was in training without knowing who he'd face, like a soldier always training for war. Quintana is a good fighter, Williams might of caught him this time on a bad night, just as Williams said he was on a bad night losing to Quintana. Paulie never hurt Cotto the way you make it sound. I hate when you guys see 1 punch land, it makes a guy shift off balance and it's considering, OMG, he's hurt, he's almost KOed, he's almost KD, man stfu. The rest of his comp is respectable. To answer you question, NO. I think Judah, Torres, and Mosley were Cotto's toughest fights. Torres he showed heart, Judah he showed power, and Mosley he showed skill. Now he'll combine all 3 to beat Margarito.

I'm a big fan of Cotto and Marg. I do think this will be his biggest test, just not his first big test.

You're the only one making it out to be like this. I said he was hurt, and he was. Nothing more, nothing less.

Branco - lost to Gatti. Enough said.

Malignaggi - 7-1 underdog going into the fight and has received two gift decisions in his last two fights. Also not known as anywhere near a big puncher, he had Cotto hurt.

Quintana - we all saw his last fight.

            Urkal - lol

Judah - who hasn't beaten this guy

Mosley - was a great fighter, but his last big win was against Oscar in '03. A fight most thought he lost.

Gomez - that's right, Alfonso Gomez.
            Don't be ignorant:

Malignaggi - currently holds the JWW world title w/ a few defenses.

Quintana - we saw the first Williams fight too and he got the title.

Urkal - he was a loser. I agree.

Judah - was the undisputed JWW champ. very fast and has fought almost everyone.

Mosley - Still a great fighter, period. Never been knocked out. Only lost to other great fighters. Holds good wins, incl. ODLH.

Gomez - Tough customer, who was just plain out, overmatched in every facet of the game. But, he did beat the snot out of Gatti.

In closing, NO! Margarito will definitely not be Cotto's first BIG test or his last.
If they both fight the way they did in their last fights, Cotto will easily beat Margarito. The shock will come if Margarito survives the fight without getting KO'd.

Um, ok, so your saying, that 1 moment in the ENTIRE 12 rds? It lasted, what? 3 seconds? And I'm not making a big thing out of it? You didn't even have to mention it. Pure hate.

                  also:

                  140 - paper champ
                  147 - paper champ

hasn't won a linear title yet

                  some more:

Bailey: lost to Ngoudjo, Ishe smith, lol.

some people here (mostly cotto fans) say margarito is a bum with 5 losses, so why would it be his test if hes a bum?

Cotto had a good test in Mosley.Shane was over the hill but a past his prime Shane is still pretty damn good.Margarito is by far his biggest test to date though because stylistically he is built to give a guy like Cotto problems.

really? Can you find another thread besides this one that I've started with anything negative to say about Cotto?
